News: +Notoriety Gear?

Recently came across a player who got shard first for an item called “Eternal Leggings of Echoes” and what popped out was the set bonus.

“Notoriety Boost (0/2): Increases Notoriety gained from all sources by 10%”.

Update 11.27.13: Looks like there’s a ton of different types including currency, token, notoriety, experience as well as +% stats.

More Info/Speculation below:

It came from a Greenscale’s Supply Crate (the current limited time crates in the Cash Shop). Since they are completely random, you’d probably need good luck to get two pieces of this gear.

It is assumed that you simply need two pieces with the same bonus for the bonus to be active. Usually set bonuses require a Synergy Crystal to use, but it could be possible that this Notoriety gear simply requires two pieces of the gear.

What makes this interesting is that you could potentially use this even in Patch 3.0 and beyond for future notorieties. Simply equip the Notoriety set bonus gear before turning in all your dailies/etc (or even use it as gear for open-world PvE if it isn’t too much of a loss in stats) whilst having other pots (like Patron vials) up to benefit from it.

It would be interesting to see if there are other, similar types of bonus gear lying around. Could there be a +10% Experience bonus set? +10% Favor bonus set?
