Livestream Summary 21st March 2014 Feature Image

Trion had their 21st March 2014 Friday Livestream Extravaganza with Livestreamer “Cole” Marshall, Community Manager Eric “Echo” Cleaver, Senior Design Director Simon “Dead Simon” Ffinch and Senior Content Designer “krug”. The livestream was co-hosted by Rift Youtuber/Guide-writer/Man-of-Legends Seatin.

Cole spent the time running through some chronicles with Seatin on the livestream.

Click here for a replay of the 21st March Friday Livestream Extravaganza video on twitch.tv. Actual livestream starts at ~18 minutes into the video.

Summary:

  • Mainly Cole and Seatin running through Planebreaker Bastion: Aftermath and Infernal Dawn: Laethys.
  • Simon mentioned he would re-check if the Shepherd’s Crook and Lamb Pet actually made it on Live.
  • Ocho reminded players that the new 3.0 souls (coming in Patch 2.7) are up on PTS for public testing.

Below is a summary of all the important things relating to the livestream. As always, everything can be subject to change prior to the content hitting Live.

Chronicle Run-through

chroniclesaved

On today’s livestream, guest co-host Seatin ran through hard-mode versions of the Planebreaker Bastion: Aftermath instance with Cole as well as a short dab of the first boss of Infernal Dawn: Laethys.

These are existing Level 60 Chronicles that you can access either solo or in a duo via the Chronicles Window (default key “j“).

To access the hard-mode versions of the bosses, simply click on the red shiny orb located prior to each boss.

Despite the lack of information on new content on today’s livestream – the interaction between Cole and Seatin was enjoyable to watch. You can check out Seatin’s video guides for Rift at his channel here.

Shepherd’s Crook and Lamb Pet

Dead Simon once again was asked on the Livestream chat channel whether the Shepherd’s Crook weapon costume and the Lamb companion pet are on the Live servers yet.

He has stated he would re-check. If it is up, then it isn’t available on the Rift Store or as a reward for an achievement (as those end up in the Trophy section). Therefore if it is available it must be gained elsewhere.

If anyone is able to find out how to earn these two items (if they are actually available on Live), please notify us in the comments section!

3.0 Souls up on PTS

3.0souls

CM Ocho reminded viewers that the 3.0 Souls are up on the PTS for open public testing and Trion would love your feedback! (be specific though!)

Livestream Giveaways

Trion’s Friday Livestream Extravaganzas almost always have freebies given away to those who follow the channel and make a post in the Livestream chat channel when the items are being given away.

During today’s livestream:

  • 3 channel viewers received a Toxic Hellbug Mount each.
  • Krug attempted to give away a mount for whomever could name the TV show that the chronicle, Infernal Dawn: Laethys, is an omage to. Nobody could answer it for a long while until Dead Simon guessed “Fringe”. So nobody won!

Conclusion

A more relaxed livestream this time round although having an experienced player as a guest co-host really helped make the livestream enjoyable despite the lack of new information provided.

Quote of the Stream:

“If you wait till it turns red you’ll do more damage”. – Krug
