With the Live client updated to RIFT 2.7 Hotfix #4 on Wednesday, we were given the following hint about a new Bounty Artifact addition:
* Bounty Hunters; Keep your eyes open for Telara’s Most Wanted!
You may have also noticed that the Bounty Hunter NPCs provides the following two emotes:
Now Dev Kerilar has made a post stating that the <Most Wanted> are NPCs that spawn – a few at a time – in every zone. Just like Unstable Artifact Thieves, these <Most Wanted> will give you a guaranteed Bounty Artifact of their species type when you kill and loot them.
The <Most Wanted> criminals from the Flatyard have scattered all over Telara. In every zone if you keep a weather eye out, you may spot a few.
They drop a guaranteed Bounty Artifact of their species type. Except Rezair the Rhino… she drops Horse parts, don’t ask.
The ‘<Most Wanted>’ is their title (appears under their name). Unfortunately this means you can’t use a /tar Most Wanted macro because title’s aren’t tracked. Your best bet is to keep an eye out for mobs that don’t seem to belong in the area they are in.
Vipermmf on the Rift Forums was able to find one of these <Most Wanted> recently – turned out to be a Rat mob with an Elite Portrait and title <Most Wanted>. Killing it and looting it gave him the bounty artifact.
You will need to be mentored so that the mob gives you experience (unless they are a critter):
You won’t get artifacts if you don’t get exp from the NPC, unless that NPC is one of the Critter races. (Snake, Bunny, etc) Otherwise you must be mentored.
- A variety of mobs with the <Most Wanted> title (appears under their name) spawns in every zone.
- The mobs have Elite portraits and have a variety of names.
- You must be mentored unless it is a critter mob (rat, snake/etc).
- Killing the mob and looting it will get you a random bounty artifact relating to that species.
- Make sure to mentor down to around their level though.
Location of Most Wanted Mobs
Thryios@Faeblight created an open edit spreadsheet in the past with locations for various Most Wanted Mobs. Unfortunately he has since deleted the spreadsheet.
Luckily, I was able to save a copy that you can check out here. All credit to Thryios@Faeblight and any contributors.
