Vladd revealed Monty and Rodney today, the “griffon_pet_ranger.rig.ma” and “roc_pet_beastmaster.ma” models datamined by TehFrank in the most recent 1gb+ PTS Update.
First up though, Vladd added some more information on his task schedule:
- Warrior Tank Souls are first due to the Reaver-to-DPS changes.
- Ranger and Beastmaster will be the next changes whilst Vladd continues working on 3.0 tasks.
- Bard, Saboteur and Marksman are the next changes afterwards with possible changes to Tactician whilst working on Bard. [r]
Meet Rodney
Vladd revealed that the above Griffon combat pet would be part of the changes that are in store for Ranger. [r]
Meet Monty
Vladd also revealed that the above Roc combat pet would be part of the changes that are in store for Beastmaster. [r]
Look forward to these two popping up at some point – probably after Vladd finishing the Warrior Tanking Souls’ changes!

Wow. I don’t know what to expect. I’m pretty attached to my cat. The roc is pretty cool but how will this change things, I wonder.
I want those things as mounts!
I’m guessing they’ll be ranged pets since the druid, necro and elementalist all get ranged pets.
