Some News Tidbits for RIFT on 3rd August 2014:

  • Moonshade Highlands Zone Event Frequency has been reduced as of 11:30PM PDT from the previous day. It was previously increased due to Unicornalia. [r]
  • Tacitus verified that if you are in Mathosia you will get Mathosia-based Instant Adventures and when you are in Storm Legion zones you will get Storm Legion-based Instant Adventures. [r]
  • Gingers has updated the RIFT UI Assets files with full Soul Icons and also updated the RIFT Soul Tree Backgrounds files. You can access them on Trion’s ftp here. The directory also contains other icon and art assets for fansites or players looking to – say – design their own RIFT-related signatures. If you are interested, you can also find the Discovery files that are updated daily here which shows all discovered items/achieves/etc across the game.
  • There’s been a surge in customer service tickets – as such, average wait times for requests have increased. The Trion Customer Service team are working on them. They’re also hiring more Customer Service staff – if you’re interested, check out their job info here. [r]
  • TehFrank has datamined a few more 3.0: Nightmare Tide sound files you can access here.

    I have a question,what is the archmage soul listed after arbiter in the soul tree backgrounds?

      then why do they have background if they are never to be used again?

      It’s probably something that’s still in their files for archive purposes. Or who knows, maybe they’ll repurpose the old PvP soul files in the future. It’s kind of like Port Scion and how bits and pieces of that area became what is Meridian and Sanctum today.
