News Tidbits 26th August 2014

General Feature Image

Not much News Tidbits for RIFT on 26th August 2014; just the following:

  • Class Changes: Cleric Warden. Kervik has posted some possible changes for the Warden soul. (These are not yet up on the PTS) [r]
    • Alluvion – Now also increases the number of targets hit by Healing Flood by 5/10. [This means at max rank, it will cover 20 players instead of its current 10 per cast]
    • Under Pressure – Now also reduces the mana cost of Geyser, Healing Cataract, Healing Flood and Soothing Stream by 8/16/24%.
    • Dangers of the Deep – Stacks now also reduce the cast time of Warden abilities by 0.03/0.06/0.1s per stack. [This means at max rank, 0.5sec cast time reduction at max 5 stacks Dangers of the Deep].
    • Soothing Stream – Healing no longer decays over the duration of the HoT.
    • Ripple – Increase the base radius from 15m to 20m.
    • Distant Shores – Fix so it correctly affects the radius of Ripple and Monsoon
  • Account Security. Trion announces the new security measures. When logging into Glyph, after you have entered your login details you will be asked to enter a code. If you have an Authenticator, you will be asked to enter that code. However, if you do not have an Authenticator, a code will be sent to your e-mail address.

You can whitelist your current computer so that in the future no code will be required when you are logging in from your computer. However, if your location, computer or IP address changes, you will be required to enter a code upon login.

This starts Thursday. More details can be found here.

  • PTS was updated with a 47MB file. However, the .dat is unreadable and there doesn’t seem to be any visible changes to the PTS itself. Nothing to report on datamining or PTS with this update. It might be tweaks for the Oculus Rift support, or some Nightmare Tide tester-only updates.
