General
- Trion under DDoS. Trion was under a Distributed Denial of Service (“DDoS“) attack approximately 3-5hrs ago. and this may be on-going. [r] They were likely targeted due to ArcheAge launch.
- PTS+Datamining 22nd Sept 2014. There’s a new warfront called “Battle of the Numeral Eleven” for Level 60+ to test out on the PTS as well as further Cleric Inquisitor Changes and a few more minor additions to the PTS. [r]
Nightmare Tide-related
- Minion Crafting Material. Player Batsyfourty on the PTS has discovered that there is a crafting ingredient called Attainium Crystal that is gained by your Minions going on adventures (thanks to Mirandiral for info on which adventures). You need 1 or 2 of these Attainium Crystals for each Amender (crafting upgrade) recipe.

In short, you’ll probably want to actively use the Minions system. Batsyfourty gained this item on a high-level Minion so it is probably a relatively rare drop unless you have high attributes (and thus a high-level Minion). It does not seem to be soulbound though so you can probably get one from other players.
- Minions Fixes. There should be a bunch of minions fixes up on the PTS now, including to fix the issue of the ‘Hurry’ button showing, but no time remaining when you first log in to the game. [r]
- Minions via Mobile. Snedhepl has stated that Trion will consider adding the ability to send minions on adventures through the RIFT mobile app, but no promises have been made. [r]

I really hope that they are going to introduce the minion system to the mobile app to make it a viable app again.
Using Minions System with Mobile App would be awesome. All those 5min and 15min adventures would have a use (with a small break every hour of work, of course!) and would help with the 8hr adventures too. Pop one off on the commute to work and then claim and pop one again during the arvo snooze.

If they do, this will almost force me to get an Apple or Android phone since they will not support the Windows Phone platform. I truly wish they would since the WP platform has become so much better and ties in well with a Windows 8 or 8.1 PC.
As far as the minion system is concerned, the Attainium Crystals can be obtained from ANY adventure. I received my first one from a Notoriety adventure. It seems that the Minims come off gathering nodes or harvests after you hit max (450) or as rare chances from Crafting adventures.

So there is this rather nice windows program called Bluestacks. It is an Andriod emulator. So it allows you to run andriod apps on your computer, without having to have an actual andriod phone.
I used this for along time with the rift mobile app to easily log into my 2 accounts and do the game.

Just received a Risarian Minim off a level 60 mob in Goboro Reef. I guess they are not limited to tradeskills only.
