A relatively large 848.2MB update hit the Public Test Shard for 6th October 2014. Very few changes visible immediately though so they might be hidden away in further texture changes or instance improvements. The majority of the file size is from having to download whole files whilst under 1mb of each 15mb+ file is actually changed.
Since the update was rather small I’m including the datamining here.
Summary:
- Masteries Changes – Mage and Cleric Mastery changes.
- Gear Price Changes – Various price reductions or placeholder replacements.
- Crafting Changes – New upgrade paths to Hit + 125 gear. Also, models updated.
- Other Updates
- Datamining – Zeuxis District models/skins. Raptor Amphibious.
As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.

A small amount of additional changes were made to Masteries.

Crafting Gear Additions

Crafting Upgrade Nightmare Tide
There’s some crafting additions for Nightmare Tide with this update to improve the amount of Hit available on crafted gear. You now require Void Source Accelerators in the final upgrade for crafted gear on top of the associated, crafted Amender but the highest-upgraded crafted gear now gives Hit+125. (Thanks to hardy83 for the info!)
For example, the Fine Fabled Hood made by Outfitters starts with Hit + 53 then gets upgraded to Hit + 100 with 2x Dust of the Void and finally upgraded to Exquisite Fabled Hood with Hit + 125 with Advanced Textile Amender and 6x Void Source Accelerators.
List of upgrade costs:
- 1-handed/Off-hand/Ranged Weapons – Advanced Weapon Amender + 20x Void Source Accelerators.
- 2-handed Weapons – Advanced Weapon Amender + 40x Void Source Accelerators.
- Gloves/Belt/Boots – Advanced Metal Amender + 5x Void Source Accelerators.
- Helm/Shoulders – Advanced Metal Amender + 6x Void Source Accelerators.
- Chest/Legs – Advanced Metal Amender + 12x Void Source Accelerators.
- Accessories – Advanced Ornament Amender + 5x Void Source Accelerators.
Crafted Gear Models Updated

Skelf Crafted Weaponry
Weapon models have been updated for crafted gear. They are all Skelf models. Armor is old Storm Legion armor (might be placeholder).
Other Updates
- Cobalt Crabnarok Supply Crates now drop from Patron Weekly Gifts again.
- There’s now a barrier around Margle Palace to prevent you from dropping down into the palace from the Ocean/Dream Sky.

Draumheim Margle Palace Barrier
Datamining
Not much to datamine except some additional Zeuxis District art assets on the PTS, Citadel of Insanity skins and Hammerknell Fortress mini-maps.
Zeuxis District
The Zeuxis District is part of Draumheim’s city area. It is filled with wacky art-based NPCs like Mimes, Critics and Frozen Sculptures. Datamining shows new paintings and statues:

Zeuxis District Art Models

Zeuxis District Art Skins
The art looks to be side-ways Goboro Reef Concept Art. There’s also a tall, marble statue with a female face on it.

Draumheim Zeuxis District Models
There’s also several Draumheim models for the Zeuxis District, mainly on the inaccessible buildings. These aren’t too interesting to look at though since they have same/similar models to the rest of Draumheim with likely minor changes in skin.
Citadel of Insanity Sky Skin

Citadel of Insanity Sky
Just as Draumheim itself has an orange/yellow-ish cloud over its sky, the Citadel of Insanity dungeon instance has a green-lit cloud over its sky.
Various Hammerknell Fortress Maps

Various Hammerknell Fortress Minimaps
A few mini-maps for Hammerknell Fortress. This could either be mini-map updates due to changes to the mini-maps based on the Plane of Water’s depth, or it is based on the upcoming Raid Zone Instant Adventures that were mentioned during Trion’s Community Day 2014. These were slated to come out after launch though.
Raptor Amphibious
There’s a new configuration file with the following animations names:
- mount_raptoroq_swim_idle
- anim\swim\idle\asset\raptoroq_mount_raptoroq_swim_idle.kf
Looks like Striders (Ash Strider, Swift Armored Ash Strider) will potentially be upgradeable to Amphibious (able to go on both land and in water).

Crocnard and Tartagon Amphibious
Currently on the PTS the Cobalt Thresher Mount, Crocnard-based mounts and Tartagon-based mounts are Amphibious (or can be turned into it if you happen to have spare ‘Underwater Mount Training’ consumes from back when the Nightmare Tide mount vendors were interactable).
Another relatively large update, although this time the primary changes were to gear cost adjustments and likely more polish and cleanup.
Nightmare Tide is in Open Beta right now on the PTS, so check all the changes out for yourself on the PTS!

Tier 1 Relic Weapons are now all 900k Void Stones/35,000 Void Stones per week = 6 month. Hm…
I’m guessing it’s placeholder. Can’t see why Tier 1 weapons would be introduced early. Plus, they’d probably cost Fragments of Horror (raid marks) when they’re ready to be released on the store.
