General

• RIFT 2.8 Hotfix #13. Trion added another hotfix today to add tracking to see where the source of all the lag is from. [r]

• DDoS Attack. Trion posted on their Twitter account that they were experiencing Distributed Denial of Service attacks on their servers. Daglar has also mentioned it in this post here.

Ascended, our servers are experiencing a DDoS at the moment. We’re working to restore network stability as quickly as possible.

• Livestream Summary for 10th October 2014. Trion had another Friday Livestream, this time showing off the Shadow From the Beyond chronicle, Citadel of Insanity dungeon and Ghar Station Eyn warfront. They also showed off the new Cobalt Crabnarok Mount. Check out screens and further info here.

• PTS Update for 10th October 2014. More Masteries changes; new Crafting armor set models; multitude of new achievement rewards; PvP Rift achievements becoming Legacy + more! Check them all out here.

Nightmare Tide-related

• Minions System Info.
  • Aventurine Gain. Snedhepl explains that you’ll get (on average) around 2 Aventurine per 15m adventure. Longer Adventures give minimum 10 Aventurine (more based on performance and minion level). This means that each day (if you use all 5 max minion slots) you can afford a 10hr Adventure in about 5hrs with the 15min Adventures alone. [r]
  • Experience Gain. Snedhepl has announced that short adventures (1min, 5min and 15min) got a double experience boost, long adventures received a 50% exp boost whilst 10hr experience gain remains the same. There’s also a 5% Minions experience bonus for Patrons. [r]
  • Full Minion Card Preview. You can now fully preview Minion Cards on the RIFT Store. [r]

• Cleric Inquisitor Changes. Kervik has announced that Cleric Inquisitor changes mentioned here will hit the PTS around next Monday. [r]

• Vladd on Mass Oppression. Vladd is looking at potentially adding a Mastery or additional talent to enhance Mass Oppression (Warrior Liberator ability). [r]

• RIFT Mobile App Fix. Daglar has announced that an engineer will be scheduled to review the RIFT Mobile App as soon as Nightmare Tide launches. [r]
