Extra Life 2014 Contests Snooped

I did a bit of snooping and found six Extra Life 2014-related contests for the upcoming 24hr Gaming Charity Event being held on the weekend of October 25th-26th. These contests are run by Trion or Trion staff.

Item Named After Your Character Contest by Archonix

First up, Trion are doing a “win an item named after your character, or a title of choice” contest like they did last year. Instructions & Prizes:

• Leave a donation of at least $5 with either your character@shard or via referrer code TW on Christopher Junior’s (Archonix; Senior Systems Designer/raid&dungeons guy) Donation Page.
• Top donation on October 26th wins one. (Cumulative donations from same e-mail will be added up).
• An additional two winners will be randomly selected.

There’s no guarantees on what the item will be or if you will be able to obtain a copy if you choose the item-named-after-your-character option. If you choose a title option, you will receive the title in-game once it is added to the game.

Winners are contacted by e-mail in early-November with item/title being added in-game somewhere between RIFT 3.0 and 3.1 or in 3.1.

Note: No offensive character names will be allowed for the ‘win-an-item’ prizes.

Artifact Set Named After Your Character Contest by Dead Simon

Dead Simon is holding a contest to allow up to 5 players the chance to have their name inside an Artifact set. Instructions & Prizes:

• Leave a donation of at least $5 with either your character@shard or via referrer code TW on Simon Ffinch’s (Dead Simon; Senior Design Director/’artifacts guy’) Donation Page.
• Top two donaters on October 26th wins one. (Cumulative donations from same e-mail will be added up).
• An additional three winners will be randomly selected.

Winners are contacted by e-mail in early-November with the artifact set being added in-game somewhere between RIFT 3.0 and 3.1 or in 3.1.

Note: No offensive names and RIFT devs have final call on everything.

Note: The Artifact Set will contain 5 artifacts: 1 rare, 1 uncommon and 3 common. Top donater gets to name the Rare Artifact, second-highest gets to name the Uncommon and the random three remaining winners get one Common artifact named each. [r]

NPC Named After You by MikeD

Mike Daugherty (MikeD; Lead Content Designer) is offering the chance to have an NPC named after you! Instructions & Prizes:

• Leave a donation of at least $5 with either your character@shard or via referrer code TW on Mike Daughterty (MikeD)’s Donation Page.
• Top two donators on October 26th win. (Cumulative donations from same e-mail will be added up).
• An additional eight winners will be randomly selected.

There’s no guarantees on what the NPCs are, where they’ll be, or how you’ll find them. Winners are contacted by e-mail in early-November with item/title being added in-game somewhere between RIFT 3.0 and 3.1 or in 3.1.

Discovery Quest in Zone/Scene of Choice with Your Name by Morticus

Morticus is offering the chance to have a Discover Quest in a zone or scene of your choice with your name in it to a single, lucky winner. Instructions & Prizes:

• Leave a donation of at least $5 with either your character@shard or via referrer code TW on Noah Holmes’ (Morticus)’s Donation Page.
• Top donater on October 26th wins. (Cumulative donations from same e-mail will be added up).

Lore Book Contest by Captaincursor

Nicholas McDowell (Captaincursor; the lore guy) is offering a special in-game lore book to the top donator on his donation page. The lore book will either be on the subject of your choice, or with your name involved. Instructions & Prizes:

• Leave a donation of at least $5 with either your character@shard or via referrer code TW on Nicholas McDowell’s (Captaincursor) Donation Page.
• Top donator on October 26th wins. (Cumulative donations from same e-mail will be added up).

Winner will be contacted by e-mail in early-November with and the lore book will be added in-game somewhere between RIFT 3.0 and 3.1 or in 3.1.

Note: As per the donation page, “Standard disclaimer: No offensive names will be considered, RIFT devs get the final call on everything. A lore book does have to fit with lore, after all!”

Minion Card: Rough Raptor by DEV_SupermanSocks

DEV_SupermanSocks (RoughRaptors) has added an Extra Life Charity Event-themed contest giving away 4x “Minion Card: Rough Raptor”. Details as follows:

• Top donator as of 8AM PDT Oct 26th to Ryan Copeland’s (RoughRaptors/DEV_SupermanSocks)’ Extra Life Donation Page gets a Rough Raptor minion card in RIFT.
• Another 3x random donators will also be given the Rough Raptor minion card.

Found five contests thus far – there might be more to come. We’ll just have to wait for Trion’s official post revealing all they have planned for this year’s Extra Life Charity Event.
