An ~1GB download hit the Public Test Shard for 14th October 2014. Quite a few interesting additions and changes this time round.

  • Achievement Additions – New Zone Event Achieves.

As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.

Masteries Changes

Only Cleric change this time round.

  • Diversify. Stacks increase damage by 2.5% instead of 1.5%. Now 2 stacks max instead of 3.

If the above images become out-dated, check out the main Masteries article which will always have the latest images.

(Thanks to snipebad for keeping us up to date with Masteries changes.)

Note: No changes were made to Warrior, Mage or Rogue Masteries.

Gear Changes

Some gear price changes and other gear-related additions including Expert weapons.

Gear Price Changes

  • Void Seeker (World) Gear has changed to:
    • Gloves/Boots/Belt – 10,500 (down from 21,000) Void Stones.
    • Helm/Shoulders – 14,000 (down from 28,000) Void Stones.
    • Chest/Legs – 28,000 (down from 52,500) Void Stones.
  • Focus of Nightmares no longer has a Credits option.
  • Nightmare Rift Lures prices changed to:

    • Lure: Nightmare II Instance – 120k Planarite, 120 Void Stones.
    • Lure: Nightmare III – 24k Planarite, 30 Void Stones.

    • Lure: Nightmare IV – 26k Planarite, 35 Void Stones.
    • Lure: Nightmare IV Instance – 140k Planarite, 140 Void Stones.
    • Lure: Nightmare V – 28k Planarite, 40 Void Stones.
    • Lure: Nightmare V Instance – 150k Planarite, 150 Void Stones.
    • Lure: Nightmare V Instance Duo – 150k Planarite, 150 Void Stones.

Nightmare V Instance Duo

Lure Nightmare V Instance Duo

Lure Nightmare V Instance Duo

As you might have noticed, there’s now a “Lure: Nightmare V Instance Duo” found under RIFT Store -> Rifts -> Nightmare. This is used for a special ‘Shores of Terror’ instance that only allows two players inside. Costs 150,000 Planarite and 150 Void Stones (same as the normal instance version) and there is now both Leaderboards and a new “Shores of Terror, Duo” option when you speak to Nightmare Rift NPCs.

There doesn’t seem to be any change in loot reward, so perhaps this lure is mainly aimed at those who want to top the new Nightmare V Duo Rift Stage leaderboards in a group of 2 players.

Synergy Crystal Changes

A bunch of Synergy Crystal Changes have been added in.

Mage Cleric Synergy Crystal Changes

Warrior Rogue Synergy Crystal Changes

Warrior Rogue Synergy Crystal Changes

There’s a bunch of Nightmare Tide synergy crystal changes, mainly to the (4) bonus.

  • Annihilation Crystal: (4) bonus has changed from “Increases base damage of your single target abilities by 2,000” to “Damaging single target abilities apply a buff to you, increasing your Spell Power by 300 for 6s”.
  • Maelstrom Crystal: (4) bonus has changed from “Increases base damage of your area effect abilities by 1,500” to “Damaging area effect abilities apply a buff to you, increasing your Spell Power by 300 for 8s”.
  • Eldritch Crystal: (4) bonus – Spell Power increased from 100 to 350..
  • Mystic’s Crystal: (4) bonus changed to be based on area of effect instead of single target.
  • Warmaster’s Crystal: (4) bonus – Attack Power increased from 100 to 250.

Not as many changes for the Warrior/Rogue Synergy Crystals although further changed could end up showing up in a later update.

(Thanks to snipebad for the info!)

New Expert Weapons

The Level 65 Tier 1 Relic weapons have been removed from the RIFT Store as expected – they are probably the drops from the Tier 1 raids. Instead, we now have Expert-level weaponry for all classes.

I’m not sure when they changed it, but it looks the basic Void Stone gear now is no longer “equivalent” to the basic Expert gear, but rather a step below (before upgrades, of course).

Thanks Serein for the info! Added that into the 15th Update thread just in case those who have already read the 14th miss it.
