Fae Yule World Event

The Fae Yule World Event started on 11th Dec and will end on 8th January at 3:30PM Server Time.

• Faelight Sparkles Zone Events Payout. Daglar has confirmed that it is intended for only Nightmare Tide zone events to give 4 sparkles. Other zone events only give 1. [r]

• Faelight Sparkles Chest Info. CM Ocho confirms that the chest from the Faelight Sparkles weekly is a random item [class-specific though] so you could get the same item multiple times. [r]

General

• Event: Dev-slaying this Friday! Don’t forget about the Dev-slaying event this Friday, Dec 19th 2014 as posted by CM Ocho. 7pm GMT (EU) (TC)(CD) followed by 3pm PST (NA) (TC)(CD)

• Congratulations to Trinity for NA 1st Threngar! Grats to Trinity (Greybriar, NA) for being the first guild on the North American cluster to take down Threngar and thus complete the first Tier 1 20-man: Mount Sharax (NA 1st; World 2nd)! Check out their loot below. Other kills/vids can be found here. Also, grats to Vendetta for NA 2nd, World 3rd!

• Steam Sale on Digital Packs. Steam’s Winter Sale is on again and RIFT’s digital packs have been given a discount. You can find the main packs here and the Nightmare Tide packs here. Briefly:
  • RIFT: Laethys’ Fortune Pack from $149.99 to $100.49.
  • RIFT: Ultimate Nightmare Edition Pack from $149.99 to $127.49.
  • RIFT: Infusion Edition Pack from $49.99 to $42.49.
  • RIFT: Typhoon Edition Pack from $24.99 to $21.24.
  • Usually Steam’s Daily Deals provides further discounts for games selected. It is unknown whether Steam is planning to do a Daily Deal for any of RIFT’s packs.

• Artifacts Without Sets. CM Ocho confirms there are artifacts you can get with your Minions that do not have an artifact set associated with them. This is because artifact adventures take artifacts from the full artifact loot table, which happens to include artifacts meant for future content. You won’t get your no-set artifacts removed. [r]

• Minions Info:
  
  • All Artifacts On The Table. Morticus reiterates that the full artifact loot table is available from the Minion system. This includes artifacts associated with World Events. [r]
  • Higher Chance for Relic Artifacts. Morticus has confirmed that with the latest hotfix, Minion artifact adventures are paying out Relic artifacts at a higher rate than Trion would like. This will be fixed next week. [r]

• Upcoming Mage Necromancer Changes. Kervik has posted up a whole list of potential changes for the Mage Necromancer soul. There’s quite a lot of changes – check them out here and let Kervik know what you think of them.

• Rogue Marskman Changes on PTS. The latest PTS update has added changes to Rogue’s Marksman soul. Rogues have begun discussing the changes here. List of changes can be found in Burninalways’ post here. (Thanks to snipebad and Burninalways for the info!)

• QOL Changes for Alts/Low-level Players. Tacitus has responded to suggestions to improve various gear for low-level players or alts. Things he will be adding/changing after the holidays: [r]
  • All leveling Foci (non-max Sigils/Source Machines) will become Bound on Account. However, if you place soulbound or Bind-on-Equip essences into the focus, the focus will become soulbound.
  • Omen/Quantum Sight (for viewing Twisted Artifacts, Sliver portals (10-man) and special alternate NPCs in Sanctum/Meridian) and related Ascended Powers will become Bound on Account.
  • Transplanar Crystals (low-level synergy crystals) will become Bound on Account.

• Crafting Rarity Change. Morticus has stated that there will be changes coming to the rarity tag for some crafting materials in Nightmare Tide. No details yet. [r]

• Forum Changes & Updated Forum Code of Conduct. CM Ocho and CM Morgana have announced changes to Forum policy. Briefly:
  • You must have a character of at least Level 10 or above in RIFT. This is to hopefully help somewhat reduce spam and reduce the amount of duplicate accounts players can create to harass other players. [This should hopefully reduce those late-night/early-morning fortune-telling and fridge-sale spam].
  • There’s no level requirement for contacting support.
  • More “stringent enforcement” of Forum Code of Conduct.
  • French and German language Forums closing.

• Lore: Bahmi Getting Some Love. CaptainCursor has replied to a thread in Lore Discussion stating that “Bahmi are totally due for some love”. No promises on time, but he is aware that the Bahmi have been ignored for a while lore-wise. He also pointed out that the Plane Touched Wilds East of Droughtlands is the homeland of the Bahmi and the Rhaza’de Canyons. [r]
