RIFT news tidbits for 14th Jan 2015. PTS Update and Datamining for the 13th Jan is done! Some pretty sweet stuff added in. Check out all the info below:

General

• Event: Zone Event Playtest. A playtest for upcoming zone events with 3.1 has been announced for Thursday, 15th January 2015 at 3PM PST. (TC)(CD). Hop onto the PTS and see you all there! Check out Darkmoon’s thread for further information or to post feedback.

• PTS Update 13th Jan 2015. Various new achievements including new dimension item rewards you can test out. Chronicle: Rhen of Fate, Level 65 Intrepids are open and Tyrant’s Throne has been populated with NPCs and quests. Check out full information here.

• PTS Datamining 13th Jan 2015. New models for a ‘Lord Arak Raid’ (Tier 2?), Draumheim Ship; Archlight Rider Mount Model and various skins and other models. ‘Insanity Event’ music file. Full information, screenshots and downloads here.

• Coming soon: PTS Update + Datamining for 14th Jan 2015. Trion released another update today and I’ll have more information up tomorrow. Quick look shows Tyrant’s Throne is now up on the main map.

• Unlocking Porticulums. Tacitus has announced that in the future you will unlock porticulums by simply entering the area instead of having to speak to the porticulum master. Potentially slated for 3.1. [r]

• Artifact Missions Re-Enabled. 8hr/10hr artifact adventures should be available again. [r]

• Craftable Minion Cards! Morticus has released a sneak peak to something coming up in the future – Craftable Minion cards! [r] Avid Minion collectors, get your crafts ready!

• Essence Upgrade. Josh York has upgraded the top tier of Essences found on the RIFT Store (NMR5-unlocked Rift Store essences) so that their upgrades have better stats. He has also reduced the price to upgrade “substantially”. No ETA or further details. [r] Might want to warn any of your friends who are thinking of upgrading an NMR5 Rift Store essence that an upgrade cost reduction is coming.

• Cleric Crafted Ring END Upgrade. Josh York has added additional endurance to the upgraded Cleric Crafted Ring (Thalcrystal Ringlet) so that you don’t lose endurance between the Detailed and Exquisite (upgrade) rings. No ETA. [r]
