Notice: Do NOT upgrade your NMR5-unlocked RIFT Store essences.
The PTS was updated today and before I do the usual writeup I thought I’d let you all know asap that the upgrade costs have been heavily reduced.
NMR 5 Essence Upgrades
Cost Reduction
The cost to upgrade has been significantly reduced:
- 1x Heart of the Frozen remains the same.
- Illusory Motes cost has been reduced from 100 to 10.
- Void Source Accelerator cost has been reduced from 5 to 1.
Stat Adjustments
Stats on the upgraded essences have also been adjusted. Some stats have increased, others decreased.

Now, not many players will be swimming around in Hearts – but just in case you get lucky and can’t wait for a weapon drop; make sure to hold off on upgrading your NMR5 RIFT Store essences until these changes come through.
