PTS Update 19th January 2015

RIFT’s Public Test Shard (‘PTS’) was updated on the 19th of January 2015 with an approx. 190MB update. Small update with no interesting datamining.

Patch versions are TEST-301-21-A-974884.

Summary:

• New Achievements.
• New Chronicle Dailies.
• Other Info: C1-0N3 Minion Card Preview; Stormfront Assault Platforms; Inside of ‘Coliseum’.

As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.

New Achievements

New Tyrant’s Throne Achievements

Two new achievements are available, bringing total achievements to 35,137.

• “The Hard Way” achievement that involved swimming to Tyrant’s Throne via Goboro Reef has been replaced by “Jumping Through Hoops” that involves going through hoops on your way to Tyrant’s Throne.
• A new ‘conqueror’-style achievement called “Thus Always To Tyrants” has been added in for completing all Tyrant’s Throne achievements. This rewards you with the title: “the Tyrant”.

Carnage Up

Priority Targets Tyrants Throne Carnage Achievement

Carnage quests have been added to Tyrant’s Throne. According to the achievement there’s 3 carnage quests to go after.

Graphics lag on the island is a lot better now and no longer noticeable except at certain locations.

New Chronicle Dailies

There’s two new Chronicle Dailies added in. One for Rhen of Fate and another which might be on rotation for Level 65 Chronicles, obtained in Flargle Plaza.

Chronicle Champion

Chronicle Champion Rhen of Fate Daily

There’s a new “Spirit of Adventure” NPC found at the very start of the Chronicle: Rhen of Fate. The daily involves killing all 4 bosses in Hard Mode. You can access the Hard Mode versions of each boss by clicking on the red orb prior to each boss encounter.

The quest rewards 50 loyalty from any NT faction of your choice, 274,780 XP and 3plat 83g 73s.

Location Misty Rayne Keeper of Chronicles

There’s a new Chronicle Daily NPC for Level 65 chronicles. The NPC, “Misty Rayne” <Keeper of Chronicles> can be found at Flargle Plaza outside Margle Palace in Draumheim at (5505, 5545). Misty is right behind the Daily/Weekly Raid Rift and Zone Event Weekly NPCs.

Level 65 Chronicle Dailies

The chronicle it asks you to complete goes on rotation between Level 65 chronicles and rewards some XP, PA XP and some plat. No marks or notoriety.

C1-0N3 Minion Card Preview

C1-0N3 Minion Card

The upcoming C1-0N3 Minion Card that is craftable by Apothecaries now has a proper card preview. It has Diplomacy and Assassination stats and starts with 12 stamina – that usually means that it maxes out at 30 stamina at Level 25.

Stormfront Assault Platforms

Stormfront Assault Platforms

A bunch of ‘Stormfront Assault Platforms’ are now floating around Tyrant’s Throne. They seem to be for one of the four dailies that are on rotation on the new island.

Inside of ‘Coliseum’

Lord Arak Raid Model End to Reason – Another Angle.

For those wondering what is inside the ‘Coliseum’ at the “End to Reason” encounter in the Lord Arak Raid on the PTS, there’s nothing. It’s empty. But here’s a screenshot of what it is like looking out – so perhaps the ‘wall’ around the ‘Coliseum’ is just vfx screen and the whole place is ‘open’.

Small update this time round. That said, recent dev posts seems to suggest we’ll be seeing another PTS Update soon.
