• PTS Update 19th Jan 2015. New Tyrant’s Throne achievements, 2 Chronicle Dailies and other small tidbits in the latest update. More info available here.
  

• PvP Gear Upgrades. Trion is reviewing progression across all aspects of RIFT over the coming weeks. As part of those changes, they’re boosting PvP gear: [r]
  • PvP gear dropped from Marauder’s Supply Caches are getting a stat upgrade in this week’s hotfix.
  • Trion is considering an additional upgrade tier for Dreambreaker (PvP) gear.
  • Trion is removing the 3-stat (no secondary) PvP gear from Marauder’s Supply Caches. No ETA. [r]

• Event: Raid Rift Playtest on PTS. Krug is holding another official playtest, testing out the upcoming “The Darkest Magic” Raid Rift. Time for event is this Thursday, 22nd Jan at 12pm PST (TC)(CD). [r]

• No. of Minions. Snedhepl has stated that there are over 160 minion cards that currently exist on the loot table and at least 6 more minions are being added with Patch 3.1.

• Unlocking Porticulums Explained. Tacitus has eased some concerns over the upcoming ‘unlocking porticulums’ feature which auto-unlocks a porticulum without having to speak to an Porticulum Master. [r] [r]
  • Auto-unlock will occur when you enter an area. So say when you enter Whitefall in Iron Pine Peak, you’ll unlock the porticulum even if you never get close to the porticulum there.
  • “No existing functionality will change or be lost”. So, you can still manually add via NPC.
  • For porticulums that belong to the opposite faction, you can still speak to the Porticulum Master to unlock manually.

• Warrior Reaver Change. Vladd has added to upcoming Reaver changes stating that “From the Shadows” will be changed as it does not fit the full-ranged spec that the new Reaver is designed for. Default range on abilities will also be looked at with range increase “most likely” added to PA. [r]

• Benches Removed from Stonefield Chapel Dimension Item. Marigold has announced that the benches in the Stonefield Chapel dimension item will be removed just like with the chapel in the dimension key. Change will go in with Patch 3.1. [r] [r]

• Change to Artifact Tracking Vials. Dead Simon has posted a thread about upcoming changes to artifact tracking vials: [r]
  • Normal Tracking Vials now last 30min and only tracks Normal Artifacts.
  • Twisted Artifact Tracking Vials are new and last 30min. They only track Twisted Artifacts and will give you a temporarily Omen/Quantum Sight to see the artifacts for the vial’s duration.
  • Unstable Artifact Tracking Vials only tracks Unstable Artifacts.
  • Patron Artifact Tracking Vials will continue to track all 3; but you’ll need Omen/Quantum Sight up to see Twisted artifacts (just like right now).

• New Artifact Types. Dead Simon teased an image of new artifact types! No information on them yet, although the green artifact is likely ‘Nightmare Rifts’ and my own speculation is that at least two of them might make use of Erisha’s Dream/Nightmare buffs in the upcoming zone event: Darkness From The Depths. [r]
