RIFT news tidbits for 24-26th Jan 2015.

• Patch 3.1 Launch – 28th Jan. Patch 3.1 is launching on 28th Jan 2015. Check out full details and what’s coming to the patch here.

General

• Wednesday Patch Time/Duration. Patch 3.1 is launching on 28th Jan 2015. All shards (NA and EU) will go down at the same time, at 12AM PST/8AM GMT. Downtime is approximately 11hrs as Trion will be updating the game with 3.1 as well as doing server maintenance. [r]
• Note: The change in time and extended down-time are for 3.1 and server maintenance and do not represent a new time change for patches in general. [r]

• PTS Update. The PTS has been updated again. There’s more Tyrant’s Forge achievements, including for the Hard Mode version of Mecha Crucia.
  • Entrance to Tyrant’s Forge is at /setwaypoint 6594 9090. (Thanks to Slipmat for the info!)

• Crafting Raid Gear + Other Crafts. Morticus has updated his “State of Crafting” post with the following line: “Increase the Tiers of upgrades for Crafted gear to Raid quality”. He has also announced that this change, along with additions such as new Earring recipes for Artificers is slated for Patch 3.1.1 (after 3.1; but not hotfix #1). Not guaranteed as it may be pushed back to 3.2. [r] [r]

• Mobile App. Snedhepl has laid the record straight that the Android App was updated in November, but delays due to holidays pushed the iOS App back. It’s currently in the process of being submitted and revised. [r]

• Conquest 5-man Premade Timeline. Daglar has announced that the Live testing of reducing premades to groups of 5 players in Conquest is not slated for 3.1, but further down the pipeline. [r]

• Hero’s Unrest Lure Fix. If you are having issues popping Hero’s Unrest lures found under RIFT Store -> Rifts, Tacitus has stated that a fix is coming in with tomorrow’s patch. [r]
