RIFT news tidbits for 30th Jan 2015.

General

• Livestream Summary 30th Jan 2015. Trion showed off the upcoming Tier 1 20-man raid, Tyrant’s Forge in their latest RIFT Livestream. A summary of the livestream can be found here.

• On Minion Shuffling. Snedhepl posts a bit to clarify what the new minion adventure card shuffling is all about: [r] [r]
  • Shuffling prices (for Aventurine) go up, but reset daily at normal daily reset.
  • When you shuffle, the Adventure at the top of the deck goes on cooldown and the rest of the cards are shuffled.
  • Shuffling does not place the Adventure card’s reward type on cooldown (so shuffling a dimension adventure won’t put all dimension adventures on cooldown).
  • Shuffling is only the “first of the deck manipulation methods we have in the pipe”. No details on future deck manipulation methods. [r]

• Minion Card Linking Crashes Players. Some players are crashing to desktop (‘ctd’) due to viewing other players’ linked minion cards. Trion is aware and looking for a fix. [r]

• Chronicle: Rhen of Fate Adjustment. The number of pods in the Drekanoth of Fate encounter for the Chronicle: Rhen of Fate will be reduced from 5 to 4. [r]

• Izkinra Damage Bug. In the Tier 1 20-man Mount Sharax raid, Izkinra’s Warmaster Ilrath is currently doing higher-than-usual amounts of damage (180k+ damage).  DEV_Anony has stated they will reduce the frequency of Warmaster Ilrath’s attacks from every 1sec to every 1.5secs. [r]

• Faeblight Guild Chat Fix. Archonix has stated they are getting a fix out for Faeblight to fix guild chat. Currently being reviewed by QA but when deplayed won’t require a down-time. [r]

• Crafted Earrings by Artificers. Morticus has posted a teaser on all the earring recipes that are coming into the game at some time during 3.1 patch cycle. There are earring recipes from Level 20 to Level 65. [r] Unfortunately the below is the highest resolution, and red doesn’t do too well in jpeg. As you can see though, there’s Abiding and Fine earrings for Level 65 characters. Unknown how many times you can upgrade them, or the earrings’ stats.

• Twisted Artifacts Guild Quest Bug. Twisted Artifacts are not being taken into account with guild quests to pick up artifacts. This will be fixed. [r]

• No-Set Artifacts Have Sets! The artifacts that did not have an artifact set associated with them before 3.1 now have sets! The ‘An Ice Chest’ reward is likely just some random temp stat scrolls and hp/mana pots. There’s likely one set for each Plane and these are apparently obtained via rare chance from killing invasions.

  For the two above sets, the artifacts are:

  • Life’s March (65): Hylas’s Spy, Mask of the Fae, Leaf of the Sword Tree, Fae Lord’s Key, Cloak of Living Shadows, Greenscale’s Bastion
  • The Spreading Plague (65): Detached Hand, Miscreant Ruby, Sundered Tongue, Angel Trumpet, Sigil of the Undying, Crown of Aedraxis

• Risarian Minim Bug #2. Recently Risarian Minim drop rate was accidentally changed to 2.5% with Patch 3.1. The first hotfix since then fixed mining node drop rates for Risarian Minim, but foraging drop rates of the item have not been adjusted. This will be fixed in next week’s hotfix. [r]

• Ivy Cottage [Dimension]. Dimension Diva jumps into a very cozy and nature-inspired cottage on the top of a hill in Foxi@Greybriar’s “Ivy Cottage” dimension. The insides are just magical and the outside of the cottage is beautiful. A preview can be seen here.
