RIFT news tidbits for 16th Feb 2015.

General

• RIFT: Behind the Scenes – Julia “Darkmoon” Fleming. Trion has posted up an article about their Lead Content Designer, Darkmoon. Check it out here! What do you want to see in the next 4 years in RIFT? What do you miss, or never want to see again? Let Trion know in this thread here.

• Crafting Fixes. Morticus has gone over some of the feedback from players about upcoming crafting changes and has fixed incorrect binding, upgrade cost disparities and listing errors on new recipes. [r]
  • Also, he has re-confirmed that going forward no recipes will include the ability to augment. [r]
  • Nightmare Amenders should not be sharing a cooldown with old Amenders. This will be fixed. [r]
  • The PTS might be getting an ability to purchase Craft Marks to make it easier to test new Crafting recipes. [r]

• Instant Adventure Changes/Additions. Tacitus went over a bit of information on changes/additions to Instant Adventures:
  • IA Queuing will random to a valid zone on any map instead of currently where you will only get sent to IAs on your current ‘map’ (Mathosia, Brevane+Dusken or Plane of Water). ETA: Patch 3.2. [r]
  • Boss HP adjustments. Bosses in Goboro Reef IAs will be toned down whilst bosses in old world IAs will also be addressed in the opposite direction. ETA: Patch 3.2. [r]
  • Tacitus seems to suggest in his post that Hammerknell Fortress IAs might come out in Patch 3.2 as well “But first I need to get these Hammerknell adventures built and working!”. [r]

• Achievement Bug Fix. A fix will potentially come in with this week’s hotfix that should solve the mass-achievement bug that is causing some players to receive a whole heap of achievements they haven’t completed yet. [r]

• Calceron Sea Activities Bug. Right now the ‘iceberg’ content above Draumheim is bugged so that it occasionally no longer spawns the ‘iceberg’ content. Pithos suggests trying to do these activities right after server downtime each week as your best chance of getting them done whilst they look for a fix. [r]

• Smuggler’s Bay [Dimension]. A truly interesting “Smuggler’s Bay” dimension by Atri@Seastone is available to the public for viewing. Containing rickity bridges, scaffolding, a ship and everything else you’d expect from a pirates secret den. Check it out here!

• Mamigo [Addon]. Phoil over on the RIFT Forums has created a new Minions Addon called “Mamigo“. Just like the Minion Trainer Addon by Nialscorva, Mamigo allows you to send minions on adventures with a single button. There’s also various options such as setting what types of adventures or sorting you want, or whether to keep minions at a particular ‘reserve’ stamina that they never fall below.
