RIFT news tidbits for 17th Feb 2015.

General

• Upcoming Server Downtime. This week’s hotfix downtime will begin a little earlier for NA, same usual time for EU:
  • NA: 2/18/15, at 6:00 AM PST (1hr 30min earlier than usual); downtime estimated at 4hrs for RIFT 3.1 Hotfix #4 as well as server maintenance. [r]
  • EU: 2/19/15 at 2:00 AM GMT; downtime estimated at 1hr for RIFT 3.1 Hotfix #4. [r]

• Trion Worlds Community Party @ PAX East. Trion announces that they are heading to PAX East and just like last year they’ll have a party for devs and players to mingle, various giveaways and some game announcements. Held on 6th March at 6pm EST in Boston, MA (USA) at the Legal Harborside restaurant. Check out more info here!
  • One of the limited giveaways is for the Fourth Anniversary Arclight Rider Mount, a mount with likely special ‘hot rod’ decal. Archonix has mentioned that this will not show up on the RIFT Store anytime soon, but that “additional community related ways” to get the mount will be made in the future. [r]

• Minion Card: Captain Quaq. The Captain Quaq minion card has been discovered (Water, Hunting)! It drops from “The Leviathan” Zone Event and appears in your Rift Loot Bag. It might also appear in other NT zone events, but “The Leviathan” is a confirmed drop. (Thanks to Kunshi for the drop info, and Avocados for linking the card”.)
  • Minion Database has been updated!

• Lockbox in Minions? Not something concrete, but Morticus has mentioned that he wants to convince Archonix to add a rare chance for minion missions to reward a lockbox. *Fingers crossed*! [r]

• DRR: The Darkest Magic. The daily raid rift “The Darkest Magic” might be getting some changes – some of the bosses such as the final boss might have their hp reduced. Also, if you are seeing griefing with Lesser Evil interrupts, PM krug with the details as there is supposed to be countermeasures to such griefing. [r]
