Arclight Infiltration Promo Week

The Arclight Infiltration Promo Week has begun as of 3:30PM Server Time on Thursday, 19th February 2015. This Promo Week ends at 3:30PM Server Time on Thursday, 26th Feb 2015.

This promo week is new and brings in some brand new Lifter mounts: Arclight Lifter and Storm Legion Lifter mounts.

• Arclight Lifter mounts can be obtained for direct purchase from the RIFT Store front page. 4,500 Credits (4,050 for Patrons). Amphibious, matches your fastest mount speed and account-wide.
• Storm Legion Lifter mounts are obtained as rare chance from Limited Edition: Storm Legion Lifter lockboxes found under RIFT Store -> Chests & Keys for 700 Credits each (630 for Patrons). Amphibious, 155% or your fastest mount speed and account-wide. Consumable is tradeable prior to consumption.
• Both can also be obtained from the PRI Quartermaster using the currency obtained from Arclight Infiltration quests.

Warning:

• Bugged Promo Missions. Currently there’s a bug where the promotional missions are not being counted towards their associated achievement or quest. At times they get counted but the objectives reset to 0. Trion are currently investigating this issue. [r] [Best not to spend aventurine hurrying or finding these missions until a fix comes in for this bug.]

Rift Reforged Episode 26 – Interview with Archonix and CM Ocho

Rift Reforged Ep 26 was held today where the Rift Reforged team interviewed RIFT Game Director Christopher “Archonix” Junior and Community Manager Eric “Ocho” Cleaver. You can check out the recorded livestream videos here and here.

They go over quite a few topics including world events, pvp gearing/bolstering and any info on Tier 2 raids. Recent exploits were also mentioned briefly.

General

• Carnival of the Ascended Next Week! During Rift Reforged Ep 26, Archonix and CM Ocho revealed that Carnival of the Ascended will be coming next Thursday! Look forward to that, including new masks, weapons and companion pets!

• Further Crafting Info:
  • Apothecary Love? Morticus will chat with Vladd about Apothecaries not having much to spend their craft marks on. [r]
  • No New Runes. There’s no new runes coming, but if Trion does add new runes in the future, it will use the new Opaque/Dreaming Rune Amenders. Currently these amenders are used for upgrades to Offhand, Shields and Belts. [r]
  • Bugged Upgrades. Some upgrades are upgrading to completely different items (chain dps gloves to plate tank boots). Fix will be in with next week’s hotfix. [r] [r]
  • 3rd Trinket Option. Vladd has stated that they will probably be adding in a third option to Trinkets so that you get both an ST and an AoE trinket proc upgrade path. [r]
  • Mining Sharing CD. The new Mining recipes: “Thalasite Dream Alloy” and “Thalasite Nightmare Alloy” share the same 20hr cooldown. This will be fixed with next week’s hotfix. [r]
  • Peerless Sarfiber Shortbow Proc. The Peerless Sarfiber Shortbow will get the same proc as the Peerless Sarfiber Longbow in the next hotfix. [r]
  • Recipe Cost Change. Nightmare Ichor and Faint Dreams recipes are supposed to cost 10 Grandmaster, 35 Master and 90 Artisan Marks. They are currently 75/250/1000. This will be fixed in the next hotfix. [r] Unfortunately no refunds for those who purchased prior. [r]

• New Attractor Minions. The Arclight Infiltration Promo Week has added in two new Minion Cards. These are Attractor minion cards which will reveal new adventures in each adventure deck when you have the Attractor minion on an active adventure.
  
  • Minion: Jineth. Artifact-only attribute, this is gained from the first quest in the Arclight Infiltration Promo Week, “Attractive Proposition”.
  • Minion: Archaelogist Herim. Hunting + Artifact. Gained from completing the “Arclight Mastery” achievement found under Achievements (default key “h”) -> Promotions tab.

  • The Minion Card Database has been updated with these two new cards.

• Minion Stamina Tooltip Issue. Right now there’s an issue with the tooltips for Minion Stamina where the “Next point gain: [time]” tooltip can often be wrong, or even reset. This will be fixed with next week’s hotfix. [r]

• Dream Orb Stat Sheet updated. The Dream Orb Stat Sheet has been updated with some of the stats for the new Expert upgrade. Thanks to Coy for the info! [Dream Orb Stat Sheet]

• Onslaughts coming to Plane of Water. Darkmoon has revealed that Onslaughts (dailies where invasions spawn to attack a friendly foothold) will be coming to the Plane of Water zones. No ETA. More IA areas will be added as well (probably for Draumheim and Tarken Glacier which don’t have IAs). [r]

• Arcanist’s Shield Mastery Clarified. Mage’s ‘Arcanist’s Shield’ mastery has been clarified by Red Hawk – it increases no. of Transmogrify to 2, up from 1. Without the mastery if you cast Transmogrify on a 2nd player, it will be removed from the 1st player. This effect is separate from the absorb shield component of the Mastery. [r]

• On Crucia Non-Exploit. Discussion has been going on about Rekt’s (Vendetta + Crayons merger) latest Crucia kill and whether or not they used an exploit as well as questioning Trion’s consistency on the issue of exploits. Trion has responded that Rekt’s kill was not an exploit.
  • The Strategy: In short, Rekt stopped DPS in order to not push Crucia past 40% hp. A variety of other stuff was done so that they were able to effectively skip most of Phase 4 whilst pushing enrage timer past the 9min enrage by approximately 80 seconds.   • Trion Response: CM Ocho has responded stating what Rekt did was not an exploit. Full explanation can be found here. Further reasoning here.
  • Crucia Phasing/Enrage Info: CM Ocho posted up the “official outline of the mechanics in [the Crucia] fight”. Note: contains spoilers to the fight. You can read that here.
  • Note: Since CM Ocho has stated this is not an exploit, it means that other guilds will be able to use this strategy.

• New Zone. Archonix has stated that there’s a new zone in the works, but it is not Myrkur’s Depths, which is not being actively developed right now. [r]
