Arclight Infiltration Promo Week

The Arclight Infiltration Promo Week brings in new Arclight Lifter and Storm Legion Lifter mounts to RIFT. Ends at 3:30PM Server Time on Thursday, 26th Feb 2015. You can check out a guide to the event here.

• Daily Issue: The Daily Quest “Activating Arclight Attractors: Long and Short” isn’t working properly with objectives not being rewarded consistently, sometimes even resetting. Trion is attempting to address this asap.

• Achievement: Lifter Larceny issue: If you try getting the “Lifter Larceny” achievement done on your alts, you’ll find that the Level 5 Jineth objective isn’t being updated. This will be fixed in next week’s hotfix. If your alts complete the other objectives, when they log in after next hotfix they should auto-complete the achievement. [r]

• Video Promo: Trion uploads a promo video for the new Lifter mounts. Check it out here!

Reminder: Carnival of the Ascended 2015 begins next Thursday 3:30PM ST. You might want to balance how much Aventurine you use up during the Arclight Infiltration Promo Week as the Carnival will likely have special event-specific promo missions as well.

General

• PTS Datamining for 19th Feb 2015. Some Carnival icons, an interesting gold/green icon that looks like a 3rd Lifter mount; possible new Minion attributes and possible new ‘Nature’ planar type. More info here.

• Further Crafting Info:
  • Mining Recipes via Trainer. The new Thalasite Dream Alloy and Thalasite Nightmare Alloy recipes for Mining can now be bought from the Mining trainer for approx 5plat each. This is intended. Those who bought the recipes with marks prior to this change should contact customer service for a refund. [r]
  • Reminder: Recipe Cost Change. Nightmare Ichor and Faint Dreams recipes are supposed to cost 10 Grandmaster, 35 Master and 90 Artisan Marks. They are currently 75/250/1000. This will be fixed in the next hotfix. [r] Unfortunately no refunds for those who purchased prior. [r]

• Minion Card: Orlan. The Minion Card: Orlan seems to drop from the hidden chest that randomly spawns in the Chronicle: Intrepid Greenscale’s Blight. Note: This place is now Level 67 so you’ll need good gear and self heals, a tank pet or go duo. (Greenscale does 11k breath ticks!) (Thanks to Turntablist and Accol for the info!)

• About Houndmaster Kytus. If you try to exploit Houndmaster Kytus in Gyel Fortress, he’ll enrage. Epsiry has a nice passage about it here.
