Arclight Infiltration Promo Week

The Arclight Infiltration Promo Week brings in new Arclight Lifter and Storm Legion Lifter mounts to RIFT. Ends at 3:30PM Server Time on Thursday, 26th Feb 2015. You can check out a guide to the event here.

Reminder: Carnival of the Ascended 2015 begins this Thursday 3:30PM ST. You might want to balance how much Aventurine you use up during the Arclight Infiltration Promo Week as the Carnival will likely have special event-specific promo missions as well.

General

• Water Crash Bug. Recently there’s been a recurring bug at times when you enter water or your camera enters water (like when you’re standing on dry land and move your camera into a wall of water). Trion are aware of the issue and working on a fix. [r]

• Raid: Crucia Change. Due to player feedback, Trion will be changing the Mechanical Tyrant (mecha Crucia) encounter in Tyrant’s Forge so that you can no longer push phase transitions. This will be in with this week’s hotfix. Archonix provides an explanation for the change here.
  • Testing Sub-forum. Trion will also be adding a new sub-forum under the existing “Public Test Shard” forum where all feedback for new raids going forward will be placed there for the devs to review, visible to all players. [r]

• Crafting Info:
  • SL Mat Requirement Removed. Morticus will be replacing any Storm Legion crafting materials that are used in the new Nightmare Tide recipes. No refunds for early adopters who have used the SL mats. [r]

• New Chained Minion Adventures. Turntablist has discovered a new minion adventure chain that begins when you have all 6 of the recent minion cards from the previously discovered chain.
  • How to obtain each of the recent new minion cards:
    • Pyrestorm – Random drop from Goboro Reef Rare Pyrestorm;
    • Orlan – Random drop from hidden chest and/or rare mob in Intrepid: Greenscale’s Blight;
    • Ionraic – Random drop from Instant Adventure chests;
    • Lil Reggie – Random drop from Nightmare Rift caches;
    • Quaq – Random drop from Zone Event “The Leviathan” in Tyrant’s Throne.
    • C1-0N3 – Crafted by Apothecaries. Recipe in RIFT Store -> Crafting -> Apothecary -> filter: minion.
  • Thus far there’s been several new adventures in this new chain which begins with the adventure “Your Team is Assembled! Plan a Party!”. It seems that some of the adventures might only pop up when these 6 minion cards are at certain minimum minion levels.
  • The assumption is that this chain will eventually lead to a 7th minion card.

• About Minion: Archaeologist Herim. The new minion card that is rewarded via the achievement ‘Arclight Mastery’ that can be completed during the current Arclight Infiltration Promo Week is actually supposed to have the attributes Artifact/Earth instead of its current Artifact/Harvesting. Unlike the tooltip which states that he adds 1 additional Hunting adventure card temporarily to each deck, he is actually supposed to add artifact missions. [r]

• About Minion: Lil’ Reggie. The drop rate for the Minion Card: Lil’ Reggie which drops from Nightmare Rift caches will likely be tuned down. [r]

• New Dimension Items. Morticus is looking at converting some of the Nightmare Tide assets that haven’t been converted yet into dimension items. No ETA yet or examples of specific items. [r]

• CTRL+F Dimension Items. MrScary has been working on some bag search filters, including making it so that when you type CTRL+F ‘dimension’, your bag will highlight dimension items. ETA: Patch 3.2. [r] Dimension keys will also stack to 99 after this week’s hotfix. [r]

• More Healers Not Guaranteed Win, Warfront. Daglar has mentioned that an engineer at Trion did some research on group compositions and wins in warfronts over multiple weeks and found that “a team with more healers…lost more often than the team with one extra DPS that knew what they were doing”. [r]

• 5-man PM Test in CQ. Daglar has updated the PvP community with Trion’s plans to test out limiting Conquest premade group size to 5 players. The task has been assigned to an engineer, “and prioritized vs their other tasks”. No concrete ETA. [r]
