RIFT’s Public Test Shard (‘PTS’) was updated on the 20th March 2015.
Patch version is TEST-301-74-A-990931.
Summary:
- Levitate Mount.
- Hammerknell Weapon Wardrobe.
- NT Armor Bundles – Abyssal and Void Seekers.
- Lockbox Gear Upgrade.
As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.
Levitate Mount

Levitate Mount! The mount whose file name was discovered a few months ago, but which I assumed was just the internal name for the Free Camera Mode added to Dimensions in 3.1.
But lo and behold – a Levitate Supply Crate now appears on the RIFT Store -> Chests & Keys section on the PTS.

Okay, so there’s no preview of it yet. The tooltip does however state that it is Amphibious and is 155% mount speed. So that’s all kinds of plus!
Speculation
Configuration files datamined previously have shown that the Levitate mount is it’s own mount (i.e. “mount_levitate_swim_idle”), so it is unlikely to be just a reskin of the Lifter (Disc) or Rider (Bike) mounts.
My own speculation is that it might allow players to hover above the ground – so it isn’t an actual ‘mount’ per say.
For instance, we could end up looking like the Dunecallers in the Level 50 Tier 1 10-man Raid – Gilded Prophecy:

This could also explain why the ‘mount_levitate’ doesn’t seem to have as many animations filenames in race configuration files compared to other mounts, and why it’s own configuration file was so sparse back when it was first datamined.
Whatever the mount turns out to look like, the PTS today has revealed that a Levitate mount will be appearing on Live some time in the future!

The weapon wardrobe section of the RIFT Store (RIFT Store -> Wardrobe -> Weapons) has a new Hammerknell sub-category with some old weapon models. Not going to list them all here because there’s quite a few, but there’s some models which I’ve never seen before (probably just wasn’t paying attention back during HK days).

Nightmare Tide Armor Bundles
NT Armor Bundles
The RIFT Store on the PTS now has Nightmare Tide Armor Bundles for both the Abyssal Crusaders (Expert) and Void Seeker’s (Open World) gear. These bundles do not include weapons. These can be accessed on the PTS via RIFT Store -> Equipment -> Bundles.
The Credits cost for the Bundles are not a discount to purchasing each piece individually.
Lockbox Gear Upgrade

Lockbox-dropped weapons have gotten a new upgrade path on the PTS. It costs 10x Abyssal Crusader’s Accelerators to upgrade (for 1-handers) that you can purchase from the RIFT Store -> Equipment -> Upgrade Parts.

Levitate mount, weapon models and NT bundles with this PTS Update. We’ll probably see more updates as we draw closer to 3.2 in April – especially once the Wardrobe Livestream hits on 27th March 2015 as there’s quite a few things to test (Wardrobe, IA revamps, HK IA).

I actually have one of the shields you have pictured. I’ve had it stashed away for costume for ages.
Yea, kind of figured they were all old models; just never paid attention/seen those models in-game.
Levitate sounds perfect for me. And I bet in the coming …years?… they’ll just add more Levitate forms/effects (heavenly, deathly, etc), while the original one gets to be accessed more for free haha. Well, I hope.
Why didn’t they add the HK relics to the store? All the other HK skins can be bought on AH………
Would like to see those too. There’s quite a few weapon styles I’d like to see on the store.
