Notice: Twitch has made a blog post (and sent e-mails out) warning users that some user information has been accessed including names, home addresses, date of birth, e-mail addresses and passwords. I know some players might follow Trion’s Twitch channel so I assume some of you have Twitch accounts.
Twitch has reset everyone’s passwords and terminated connections to Twitter and Youtube. If you logged in via Twitter, Youtube or Facebook, you will need to reconnect your accounts.
The next time you log into your Twitch account, you will be prompted to reset your password. It is probably best to do this as soon as possible since your old password may be compromised.
As always, do not use the same password for multiple sites, and if possible, don’t use the same e-mail address either.
You can check out a screenshot of the e-mail sent to Twitch users here.
You can also view Twitch‘s official blog post about this here.
If you plan on watching (and entering into any giveaways) for this Friday’s Wardrobe Livestream on Trion’s Twitch Channel, you probably want to get everything in order (reset password/etc) prior so you don’t miss out. If you aren’t interested in giveaways or posting in the chat channel, you can watch the livestream without logging in.
For me Just to be safe, did had my youtube link to Twitch so I end up reseting youtube one as well.
