RIFT news tidbits for 9th April 2015.

General

• Hammerknell Itemization. Vladd has announced that with tomorrow’s PTS update, you will be able to obtain all loot drop from the upcoming Tier 2 20-man raid “Return to Hammerknell” via Raidmare (the caterpillar Tier 2 Test Gear NPC). Trion would like feedback from the player base to see if you find any issues with current itemization for the new tier. Please post feedback here.
  • Raidmare isn’t up on the current version of PTS, but chances are he’ll either be outside HK, in Tempest Bay or you’ll probably be able to use the NPC in Master Mode Dummy Foundry.

• PTS WinXP Issue. There’s currently a bug for some players who are unable to access the PTS with Windows XP. This is not intended and Trion are looking into the issue. [r]

• Crafting Weekly Info. Morticus has confirmed that the new crafting weeklies coming with 3.2 are one per week per character. Also, you will need to purchase the quest recipe. The materials required are “pretty close to final”. [r]

• Dimension Books. Krug will take a look at adding more interactive books depending on player reaction to the books being added in with 3.2. He will also consider adding some small books, since the interactive books can’t be scaled. [r]

• GGF Kangei auf Cheri Shima [Dimension]. Quite a mouthful of a dimension was toured today by Seyler over at DTC. Today’s dimension is “GGF Kangei auf Cheri Shima” by Oneechan@Brutwacht. As expected there’s an Oriental theme to the dimension and you’ll find some amazing buildings by the dock. Check out a preview of this dimension here!

• Rift Fishing Statistics. Projhex over on the RIFT subreddit has posted a spreadsheet with information on over 25,000 fish casts. Check it out here! Briefly:
  • ~76.9% Common Fish; 12.66% Uncommon Fish and 6.28% Rare Fish caught.
  • 2.03% Artifacts, 1.08% Trophy Fish Artifacts and 1.02% Treasure Caches.

• Soloing Raids – Drowned Halls. Intim uploads his latest video providing a brief guide to how to solo the Level 50 Tier 1 10-man, Drowned Halls. Check out the video here!
