PTS Update for 13th April 2015

RIFT’s Public Test Shard (‘PTS’) was updated on the 13th of April 2015 with an approximately 100mb update.

Patch version is TEST-302-14-A-996911.

Table of Contents:

• Achievement Additions.
• Pack of Planar Essence Removal Devices.
• Tier 2 Weapon Drops Upgrade Paths. More procs.
• Currency Bonuses. FoH bonus all works; FoM patron/guild/loyalty-only.
• Nightmare Realignment Tool Daily.

As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.

Achievement Additions

Achievements increased from 36,217 to 36,347. A gain of 130pts in the Wardrobe section.

Porkologist

Porkologist Achievement

The Porkologist’s reward has changed from a placeholder to the Limited Edition: Razorback Trove so we’ll probably see a new Promo Week pop up soon. The Porkologist can be found under Achievements -> Promotions.

No preview of the mount yet, although you can get a pretty good idea from the concept art.

Pack of Planar Essence Removal Devices

As Trion promised earlier in the week, we’ll be getting a ‘Pack of Planar Essence Removal Devices’ in the Claim Item section of the RIFT Store front page.

They contain 2x Planar Essences Removal Devices and will only be available between this week’s patch and next week’s hotfix – so don’t forget to pick them up! Only claimable once per account.

Tier 2 Weapon Drops Upgrade Paths

Tier 2 HK-dropped weapons have been updated with upgrade paths and procs for most weapons. You can find the HK packs at the bottom of Raidmare outside Hammerknell Fortress in Moonshade Highlands, or via the NPC in Master Mode Dummy Foundry.

You’ll notice that the 1-hand with two upgrade paths doesn’t seem to have a heal proc for the heal-based upgrade. This seems to be the same across classes.

The Twisted Runeguard Shieldbreaker doesn’t have an upgrade path.

The Dwarven Parryblade does not have an upgrade path.

Right now the amount of Eyes of Untold Madness (relic upgrade component) that are dropped in Return to HK is unknown and it doesn’t look like there’s any Relic drops (that don’t require an upgrade) – at least not in the HK boxes.

Currency Bonuses

It seems with the latest PTS Update the currency bonuses have changed to be in line with the usual formula.

• Fragments of Horror (Tier 1) currency gain is now increased by all token-based bonuses, including Token Boosts.
• Fragments of Madness (Tier 2) currency gain is only increased by patron, guild and loyalty token bonuses.*

*The ‘Bonus Currency’ (15%) for Patrons is applied to Fragments of Madness. However, the ‘Bonus Rewards’ (40%) is not.

Nightmare Realignment Tool Daily

Nightmare Realignment Tool Daily

The Nightmare Realignment Tool daily required to improve your Nightmare Seals to the two new major tier upgrades is now available to all players even if you don’t have a currently maxed-out seal.

Just speak to any Nightmare Scholar (the ones you go to for your Nightmare Rift dailies/weekly). These are found in Flargle Plaza, Draumheim and Ghar Station Mem, Goboro Reef.

Some additions to the PTS but overall being this close to April 15th 3.2 Launch, we’ll probably mainly see quick bug fixes until then.
