RIFT news tidbits for 16th April 2015. There’s a lot of further information in regards to the recently released Patch 3.2. If you missed it, some bugs, further information and workarounds were included in yesterday’s news tidbits as well.
Patch 3.2 Information
- Patch 3.2 Patch Notes. + additional info not in patch notes.
- News Tidbits for 15th April. Some previous info on bugs/workarounds/additional info.
Main thing you’ll find below are bugs you should be aware of or additional information relating to this week’s patch:
General
- % Bug. Don’t type ‘%’ by itself or with a symbol attached (i.e. ‘%#’) as it might still crash your client. Also, anything after you type % will be in caps. Trion has fixed this on their dev clients and the fix should hit Live with next hotfix. [r]
Nightmare Rift
- Incoming Fix to Nightmare Realignment Tool Daily. The daily for the Nightmare Realignment Tool should show up correctly at any Nightmare Scholar NPC in the next hotfix for those with pre-3.2 maxed-out Nightmare Seals. [r]
Crafting
- About Congealed Dreams/Crafting Weekly. Still disabled due to the weekly consuming all your congealed dreams. However, a few things to note:
- Once they are re-enabled, the Crafting Weekly will only require 2 Congealed Dreams (instead of their original 3). [r] ETA: Next week’s hotfix.
- Congealed Dreams are intended to be trade-able. Intended for players to be able to craft more than one a week. [r]
- A fix is in the works for the bug that causes you to only be able to obtain one Congealed Dreams recipe. [r]
- Coin Rewards on Dailies. Morticus is looking into adding back the normal platinum rewards to the NT Crafting Dailies. No ETA. [r] [r] This includes Uncle Stan’s Fishing Derby. [r] [I assume this is beyond the <1 plat you currently get].
- 28-slot Bag Recipe Adjustment. Trion is looking at adjusting the new NT 28-slot bag recipe. It will now require the following with the next hotfix: [r]
- 30 Bolts of Diaphanous Cloth
- 24 Fabled Leather
- 6 Dust of the Void
- 1 Crustacean Oil
- 2 Inelastic Thread
- Fishing Daily Change. The NT Fishing Dailies should no longer require Fused Sarfiber in the next hotfix. [r] Uncle Stan’s fishing derbies in Choreburg will also pay out the correct amount of experience/PA exp and silver.
- Alloys not on Trainers. The Nightmare and Dream Alloys are currently not visible at the Mining trainers. This will be fixed with the next hotfix. [r]
Dimensions
- Mouse Imprecision. There’s currently an issue with not being able to click on dimension item adjustments properly. It seems the mouse’s target is ‘off’ by a bit. [r] A fix will be added in next week’s hotfix. [r]
- In the mean-time, try going to ESC -> Settings -> Video and tick/untick “Lock Window Size” or adjust then re-adjust your resolution. This might fix the issue.
- Cat Swap. The mix-up that caused the Calico cat dimension item to switch to a Grey Siamese cat will be fixed with the next hotfix. [r]
Raiding
- HK Lockout Issue. If you were locked to the Level 50 HK between weekly reset and patch, you will notice the 50 lockout is the same as the Level 65 lockout which means that you are locked out of the Level 65 Return to HK this week. If you have run into this issue, PM your character name/shard to DEV_Anony on the RIFT Forums. [r]
- Further info on RoF Nerfs. Trash has been temporarily removed since they were accidentally requiring 1,200 Hit. This has also affected Finric’s adds. Some other info: [r]
- All bosses except the ‘Hidrac, Oonta and Weyloz’ encounter have had their damage reduced.
- Ungolok is the only boss with mechanic changes (besides the temporarily removal of adds for Finric). Cast time of Fatal Current and Puncture Heart were increased and both are no longer insta-kills.
- Mindless Spawnling cleanse range on the Ungolok encounter will likely be increased in the next hotfix. [r]
- The raid will continue to be monitored.
Minions
- 8hr Aventurine Cost Bug. Some of the new attractor minions are attracting 8hr adventures that cost aventurine/credits. This is a bug and will be fixed in next week’s hotfix. In the meantime these bugged-out adventures have been disabled. [r]
Instant Adventures Revamp
- HK IA Testing. Tacitus hopes to have HK IAs available on the PTS for testing early next week. Will come to Live “soon”, but no firm ETA. [r]
- Tarken Glacier IAs. Tacitus has mentioned that he will be starting work on Tarken Glacier IAs soon. ETA on its arrival on Live is in RIFT Patch 3.3. [r]
- Anti-Leeching Adjustments. Tacitus will take a look at some of the anti-leeching measures to make sure they are not unfairly punishing players who are actually contributing to an IA, but simply haven’t contributed within x minutes due to waiting for objectives to respawn. [r]
- Smoother Ramping of Objectives. Tacitus will look at checking all old IA content to make sure that objectives increase fairly and checking respawn times. No ETA although he’ll work on it gradually between now and 3.3. [r] [r]
- About AFK Voting. AFK voting is throttled for IAs so a player can only vote to kick a 1 or 2 players every few adventures. Multiple votes are required. Once these conditions are met, a visible debuff will warn you that you are not participating in the IA and you have 1min to participate. Only after that minute of inactivity will you be kicked. [r]
3.2 Wardrobe
- Wardrobe Dyes Issue. As some of you know, the new wardrobe system attaches dyes to the dye slot, not the item appearance. As such some players might have ‘lost out’ if they previously had multiple copies of an item appearance that used different dyes. CM Ocho has posted that Trion is discussing this issue and will hopefully “find a good resolution for those of you in this particular quandary”. [r]

I really wish we’d get the opportunity to choose between Stan’s Fishing Derby in Tempest (mainly Mathosia) and Draumheim (I suppose more SL and NT zones). I love this quest and I love spending time in Mathosia, so I’d really prefer fishing there.
And I definitely hope they’ll reintroduce the 13 plat reward, because the present (new) rewards don’t include anything I’d want, I’m maxed out on all factions, and I certainly won’t waste 20 minutes of my time for a few crafting coins. Which means I have no incentive doing the Derby as it is now. 😦
