RIFT news tidbits for 28th April 2015.

General

• PTS Update for 28th April 2015. Tier 2 HK-dropped gear has been given a 3rd pass. You can check out all the gear changes (mainly buffs and spell crit to CP) here.
  • You can send feedback for the new changes here.
  • Vladd will take a look at the stat distribution between dual-wield and 2-handers. [r]

• Notice: Hold off on Rhen of Fate. Just a reminder that with this week’s hotfix, Rhen of Fate boss encounters will no longer drop the same slot twice. Thus you’ll always get a weapon drop + trinket drop from Finric instead of 2x weapons or 2x trinkets. Might want to hold off on doing Rhen of Fate after reset until the hotfix has been patched in.

• Instant Adventure Issues.
  • Merge Issue. There’s a lingering issue with the merging of IA groups causing various issues like odd teleport requests, no-objectives or flagging players randomly for non-participation. A fix is going out for the broken merging code in this week’s hotfix. [r]
  • Respawn Timers. Tacitus might also be doing a pass of SL zones as early as this week to make sure respawn timers are more aggressive by next week’s patch. [r]
  • Teleport Prompt Distance. Tacitus will take a look at the distance from an IA objective before you are prompted to teleport. [r]

• Dimension Fixes. Marigold has stated that the shadows-from-walls fix will be added in this week’s hotfix, although the green-walls issue will be fixed in next week’s hotfix. [r]

• Convo with Devs. Captain Cursor will suggest to CM Ocho about adding a livestream that involves talking about various interesting tidbits such as how the team comes up with Twisted Artifact sets. [r]

• Mage Update Clarification. Red Hawk clarifies his stance on nerfing Storm Locus. In essence, he doesn’t want every optimal spec to require 40pts in Stormcaller. Check out his full explanation here.
