RIFT news tidbits for 1st May 2015.

General

• Dead NPCs Rise Again. Trion is aware of the bug where the top half of dead NPCs will try to swipe at you when you go near them. An engineer is taking a look at the issue. [r]

• 64-bit Vista Crash Compensation. The 64-bit Vista Crash issues have been fixed with this week’s hotfix. However, if you were affected last week, you’ll notice that you’ve been given 7 days of Patron Time. [r]

• CrossEvents Official Channel. SupermanSocks has announced that starting with next week’s hotfix, Trion is making the player-made CrossEvents channels official channels. This prevents users from spamming chat mod commands. [r]
  • For North America: /join crossevents@faeblight
  • For Europe: /join crossevents@typhiria
  • You don’t have to do anything if you’re already in crossevents.
  • For those new to the channel, it’s a place where players find groups for dungeons, raids and open world activities like onslaughts and Daily Raid Rifts.

• HK IA Tests This Weekend. Tacitus will be holding some further tests for HK IAs this weekend. Keep an eye out on the forums for Tacitus’ posts. [r] I’ll also post info on it on twitter/site if I’m on when they are announced.

• HK IA Merge Issues. One of the merge issues was fixed with this week’s hotfix but it did not fix the other ones. Trion is continuing to investigate. [r] In the mean-time if you experience the issue of no objectives appearing, leave the IA group and queue up for a different group, or ask the group to disband.

• Dimension Key: Dream Hive. The ‘Dream Hive’ south of Eastern Holdings will become a dimension key in Patch 3.4. Won’t have the eggs although Morticus is looking to get the dream eggs as dimension items. [r] He stated it is Dead Simon’s decision to distribute it, so I’m guessing it will be an artifact or puzzle reward.

• Addon Watch: Minion Sender. Compare some Minion addons and make your minioning a breeze in this week’s Addon Watch!
