RIFT Live Datamining for 3rd June 2015

Below you can find interesting datamined files from the Live client for RIFT 3.2: Hotfix #9 patch. Short datamining, mainly Summerfest-related items.

As always, everything below is subject to change and even though these were datamined from the Live client, they might end up not appearing (or appearing months later). A lot of the stuff below is pure speculation based on files found and thus might be completely wrong.

A few icons popped up in the latest hotfix patch.

There’s clearly a scuba gear helm, the Boss of the Planes hat, two umbrellas and two umbrella drinks. According to some other files, it seems the umbrellas are dimension items:

Found under ‘housing’ folder, so probably dimension-related. Would go well with last year’s Beach Kit. Perhaps a new kit is planned?

As found in the PTS Update for 27-29th May 2015, there’s new backpacks and wings coming to the game as Costume Capes.

A treasure map and piggy bank icon.

Is the treasure map related to the new loyalty tier? Back in March, Gingers mentioned during the 3.2 Wardrobe Update overview that a new loyalty tier was coming:

Who wants another tier added to Loyalty? We do, and from the sounds of your comments in forums and in live streams, we’re pretty sure you do too. Stay tuned for more info on that in the coming updates. [r]

No details have been mentioned since. The new loyalty tier is not yet up on the PTS, but the Treasure Map icon has been used for Orange and Black Loyalty Tiers with a different glow effect:

Does the blue-glow Treasure Map icon relate to a new Treasure Map Boost+ with perhaps a +20% bonus to Exp/Notoriety/Token gain?

Perhaps. Another possibility is that it’s just an icon for some new Plane of Water-related Summerfest Scavenger Hunt.

Piggy Bank Icon

The piggy bank icon could be some kind of Summerfest-related Scavenger Hunt icon. It could also be related to the new loyalty tier.

My guess is that it is similar to the Moneybags’ Purse (Trinket) which increases coin gained from looting monsters by 10%. The Piggy Bank could be a loyalty reward that gives you increased coin gain from looting monsters.

Not a whole lot from the latest Live Hotfix. Still, some more Summerfest icons have popped up and we might just see the new loyalty tier pop up at some point, maybe.
