RIFT: Nightmare Saga Preview Article

Trion Worlds has posted up a quick preview article of the Nightmare Saga with some juicy information mixed in. You can read the article here.

Briefly:

Here’s a bit of info from the article and last week’s livestream.

• Nightmare Saga’s first Act will arrive in 3.3.
• RIFT Patch 3.3. is called Waking Nightmares and will arrive “next month”. No exact ETA given, but it’ll probably be (at minimum) after the week of the 10th July since there’s a livestream planned on that day for Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy.
• Nightmare Saga will have at least 3 Acts, as revealed in last week’s livestream. Acts will be released every two weeks.
• Nightmare Saga will be about…well…nightmares and Lord Arak.
• You will be able to obtain some sweet Tier 1-quality Nightmare Weapons that can be upgraded to relics with never-before-seen procs. (Save up a Heart of the Frozen, maybe?) Both the base and upgrade will have different wardrobe appearances to collect.
• To prep, be sure to get your Ghar notoriety up.

Ghar Rep

As part of the Nightmare Saga, you will need a certain notoriety tier with The Ghar faction. It is unknown at this stage what notoriety tier you need. The Ghar faction is Nightmare Rift notoriety. Ways to obtain NT notoriety can be found here.

I have an ‘odd’ inkling that the weird “Ghar Badge of Honor” for 1 silver that you can obtain from the Ghar notoriety vendor in Flargle Plaza, Draumheim on the PTS and Live is probably related to the Nightmare Saga.

Ghar Badge of Honor

This item has been on the PTS and Live shards for a while. If it is related to the Nightmare Saga, it’ll probably cost more than 1 silver (price probably placeholder for testing purposes). (Thanks to dcrago for the info on the Badge being on Live!)

The item requires The Ghar: Honored. Time to do more Nightmare Rifts! (Of course, this is on PTS so subject to change and the item might not end up being related to the Nightmare Saga).
