RIFT news tidbits for 21st-22nd June 2015.

• Summerfest World Event. The Summerfest World Event is on-going. There’s scavenger hunts, dailies, fishing and more! Check out the sidebar for links to various Summerfest-related guides!

General

• PTS Update + Datamining for 22nd June 2015. The PTS has added a whole slew of Planar Crafting recipes with new dimensions, weapons, armor, accessories and fishing lures/poles. All part of Planar Crafting coming in 3.3. More info + full screenshots here.

• Manugo Lore. Captain Cursor has stated that the upcoming Nightmare Saga will “delve a little more into Manugo”. As an extra tidbit, he mentioned “the Decanters that produce Ghar Station Tau residents maintain genetic diversity by utilizing the current Manugo number as a random seed”. [r]

• Unwinnable PvP Matches. Looking at the issue of players being placed into unwinnable PvP matches (usually near the end) is on Trion’s list of things to look at. [r]

• Summerfest End Time. Tacitus confirms Summerfest World Event will end at 3:30PM Server Time on July 2nd 2015. That’s PDT for North America and GMT for Europe. Store/minion adventures will remain until patch day. [r]

• More on Mage Changes. Red Hawk has announced the following info in regards to Mage Change. Missed the current changes on the PTS? You can read up on them here.
  • Right now the new Phase Step has the issue of teleporting you back to the same position you were, but facing away from the target. Red Hawk has stated that Phase Step will change completely in some fashion. No details. [r]
  • Red Hawk has stated that he will either drop the ‘damaging restriction’ on gcd reduction, or the Harbinger-only restriction, but not both. This is in response to some abilities remaining on 1.5sec GCD instead of 1sec. [r]
