PTS Update for 29th June 2015

RIFT updated the Public Test Shard (‘PTS’) on 29th June 2015. TEST-302-79-A-1016654.

Summary:

• Dimension Items Updated. Planar crafted dimension items updated.
  
• Artificer Trinket Procs Updated. Now with DPS, ST Heal, ST AoE and Tank procs!
• Tier 3 Test Gear. In Master Mode Dummy Foundry.
• PvP Gear Upgrade. From Dreambreaker to Frenetic.
• Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy. Portal is now up in Shimmersand.

As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.

Dimension Items Updated

The Planar Crafted Dimension Items have had their recipes updated from the placeholder recipe in the previous update. These can be found under RIFT Store -> Crafting -> Dream Weaver.

There’s quire a few of them which are all Plane-themed. Unfortunately each plane’s recipes ‘double-up’ and have the same model for now. This will probably be corrected in a future update.

Currently there’s a pulsing heart, a blackthorn tree, burnt corpse, Maklamos the Scryer’s crystal, something from River of Souls and a Crucia statue.

It’ll be interesting to see what “The Sea Strider” turns out to be. I have a feeling it might be the Onir-themed ship model that was datamined a while ago as per below:

The “Cloud Layer” dimension item also sounds pretty interesting. Might be a vfx item. Or could potentially allow you to add more immersion to your skyhouse-inspired dimensions.

Artificer Trinket Procs Updated

The Planar Crafted trinkets have been updated to have procs for DPS, ST Heal, AoE Heal and Tank. Each proc is from a separate recipe.

The Planar Crafting Artificer Recipes can be obtained from the RIFT Store -> Crafting -> Artificer or via the test box in Master Mode Dummy Foundry on the PTS.

Note: Other planar crafted gear doesn’t seem to have changed. Warriors still have AP gear and the other classes have spell crit/phys crit gear.

Tier 3 Test Gear

Master Mode Dummy Foundry NPC now sells Test Item Set Raid 3 DPS box.

It looks like Trion is prepping up to begin testing the Tier 3 raid, known internally as ‘Lord Arak Raid’ (no idea what actual name is). You can check out past datamined models/skins for this upcoming raid here.

The gear is test gear so as usual it has a significantly lower amount of CP than Live gear.

Total for Clerics seems to be 21749SP, 8983SC and 955CP. 1400 Hit.

Below is a comparison of the T3 test boots vs current T2 epic/relic mark boots.

There might be some news on T3 testing in the coming weeks. Or perhaps the gear is being used to test hard mode Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy.

PvP Gear Upgrade

Dreambreaker (PvP) gear now has a new upgrade path on the PTS called “Frenetic”. Upgrade costs Favor Infused Accelerators and Abyssal Crusader’s Accelerators.

ETA on when this new upgrade path will hit Live is unknown.

Stihl on the RIFT Forums has posted up a complete list of the stats on all Frenetic Gear on the PTS. Frenetic Gear is the upgrade to (Empowered) Dreambreaker (PvP) Gear. Check out his table here!

Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy

The portal to Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy has appeared in the open world since the latest update. It is located next to the old Level 50 instance at /setwaypoint 7116 6905 in Shimmersand.

Just like with the Rhen of Fate, there’s Easy and Hard Mode toggles:

Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy is a 10-man Tier 2 raid that will be hitting our shores with Patch 3.3 (slated for a July release).

A couple of additions with the latest PTS Update, mainly revolving around populating the Planar Crafting dimension items and trinket procs. Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy is now open to all, so give that a shot, and Tier 3 DPS test gear has popped up in Master Mode Dummy Foundry so Tier 3 testing might begin in the next few weeks.
