RIFT news tidbits for 8th July 2015.

General

• Planned Shard Downtime. Trion will be taking the American shards down at 7/9/15, at 7:30 AM PDT for brief ~1hr server maintenance. [r] Most likely due to raid issues with the Tulan shard mentioned below:

• NA Raiding – Tulan Issue. With the latest hotfix, all North American raid instances are using the Tulan shard. Occasionally this may lead to getting the pvp heal reduction bug. Unsure what has caused this issue, but a dev confirmed that Trion is deliberately limiting all raid instances to Tulan until tomorrow’s server maintenance. (Thanks to Val for the info!)

• RIFT 3.2 Hotfix #16. Some bug fixes. Biggest change would be fix to Cleric Inquisitor’s Judicial Privilege and Rogue Nightblade’s Twilight Transcendence to only heal for 25% of max HP (compared to 50% in PvE). [r]

• PTS Update + Datamining for 7th July 2015. Planar Crafted gear has had its stats overhauled. New ‘Power Pack’ with Magenta-colored rarity, auto-scaling cape and Ember Lifter mount. Nightmare Thresher mount icon found + more! Full info/screens here.
  • Also, adjustments to Stan’s Super Secret Lure loot table should be up on the PTS now. Test it out if you have the lure! Should mainly make the loot more desirable, less junk. [r]
  • Everywhere dimension increased item limit from 2,000 to 2,520. (thanks to Accol for the info!)

• Further Planar Crafting Info:
  • About Motes. Morticus has mentioned that the Imperishable Motes (the common version of the new mats) will be in quite an abundance when 3.3 hits. When 3.3 hits they will only be used for the new planar fishing lures, but he stated that Trion is planning on requiring Motes in some future recipes. [r]
  • Planar Crafting Stations Preview. Morticus showed off a screenshot of all the crafting station dimension items you can get as drops from Crafting Rifts in 3.3. Check them out here! Note that there’s no Laboratories. Those will come in a future update. [r]

• Livestream: Gilded Prophecy. Trion will be holding a livestream for the upcoming 10-man raid Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy on Friday, July 10th at 12:30PM PDT on their Trion Worlds Twitch channel. Note the time because it’s 3hrs earlier than usual. The 3:30PM block has been taken by their first Devilian Online livestream.

• Improving Game Performance. CM Ocho talks about how the engineers over at Trion are constantly improving game performance bit by bit. Usually not in patch notes. Check out the post here!
