General

• Trion Parties @ Gamescom + PAX Prime. Trion has officially announced that they will be holding Trion Parties at GamesCom and PAX Prime in August this year. Full details can be found here, and any discussion here.
  • Gamescom (Cologne, Germany): August 6th from 7-11pm @ BAUWERK. Trion hopes to have shuttles from the convention to Bauwerk on the day.
  • PAX Prime (Seattle, Washington, America): August 28th from 6-10pm @ W HOTEL.
  • There’s limited edition Devilian t-shirts, ArcheAge PvP survival kits, game codes for Devilian, RIFT and Trove as well as very limited RIFT Raid Steins (PAX-only).
  • According to one of Trion’s recently-held livestreams, there might be an announcement about the 5th calling ‘Primalist’ some time during or around Gamescom.
  • No convention ticket is required since the parties will be held close to the convention venues.

• Easy/Hard Mode Toggle Clarification. The recent 3.3 patch notes stated that you couldn’t change difficulty after downing the first boss in Rhen of Fate or Intrepid: Gilded Prophecy. However, DEV_Anony has confirmed that you can lower the difficulty – you just can’t increase it to a higher difficulty.

• Possible New Planar Attunement. In a recent post on Rift’s subreddit, players were talking about the compensation for shard issues that have been popping up and how they were maxed PA. CM Ocho seems to imply that it might not be a while before we get new Planar Attunement levels! No ETA mentioned. [r]
  • Given recent teasers, it’s possible that we might be getting new PA levels (via the hybrid PAs) in 3.4, since that would align with player speculation on when the Planetouched Wilds zone will be released.

• Power Packs on Steam. Power Packs should now be on Steam. [r] Note: The Steam Wallet purchase option in-game is still not working for it. [r]

• Silverwood IA Bug. One particular Silverwood Instant Adventure objective that requires you to kill two Goblin War Council members is bugged. A spell they cast called ‘Elemental Swarm’ has damage scaled to the player’s actual level. This particular adventure has been disabled until next week’s hotfix. [r]

• PTS: Nightmare Saga Act III Bug. For anyone who has been testing Act III of the Nightmare Saga on the PTS, it is bugged and Trion is aware of the issue and putting together a fix. [r]

• Rift Meduza Mage PvP 3.2 [Video][PvP]. Meduza has uploaded a new PvP compilation in various warfronts and conquest in a Mage Pyro spec. From 3.2, but uploaded recently. Check it out here!

• Who Is Your Favorite Blood Storm Dragon [Poll]? Chazinggir on the RIFT Forums has been holding a series of polls to gauge the Rift player base on various topics of interest. His latest poll asks which Blood Storm dragon is your favorite. Check out his post here and see which dragon has stolen Telara’s heart!
