General

• PAX Prime 2015 Announcements. Trion held their party at PAX Prime this year with a whole bunch of loot and announcements for their various titles. Check out a summary here. If you’ve already read it prior to this News Tidbits post, I’ve updated it with full loot list and an image of all the loot courtesy of Kyrgyz the Unpronounceable.
  • The upcoming 20-man raid, known internally as ‘Lord Arak Raid’ is officially called Mind of Madness.

• MMORPG.com Into the Wilds Article. During PAX Prime, Trion demoed 3.4 to the media. MMORPG.com’s Robert Lashley talks about the 3.4 patch including new information on how to obtain the new artifact types: Poison, Burning and Nightmare. Check out the article here! Includes two PTW images and one of ‘Lady Justice’ from the Mind of Madness raid.

• GREY2k USA Worldwide Charity – Greathound Mount. Trion has partnered with the GREY2k USA Worldwide charity to bring Limited Edition: Greathound Troves into the game, which contains a rare chance at the new Greathound Mount! 10% of all sales of the trove will go towards the charity, which is an advocacy and adoption group for greyhounds!
  • The Limited Edition: Greathound Troves will be available from 12:00AM PDT Sept 1 until 11:59PM PDT Sept 30th 2015!
  • Check out Lead Concept Artist Sven Bybee’s story about the inspiration for the Greathound mount here!
  • You can check out concept art by Sven Bybee of the Greathound mounts here. The one available during the promotion will be the purple Greathound.

• New Trion Title: Atlas Reactor. Trion has revealed a new game they have been developing called “Atlas Reactor”. It’s a Team Tactics game with turn-based elements. Check out the Dev Diary here or visit the website to sign up for alpha!
  • Note: This is where the ‘Reactor’ trademark discovered earlier in the year comes from. CM Scapes has also revealed it was internally known as ‘Hydrogen’, which is probably what the ‘Project Hydrogen‘ image comes from.

• RIFT Mount List by Seshatar. Seshatar has shared with us a RIFT Mount List, allowing you to get a quick snapshot of 219 mounts, their ‘stats’ and how to obtain them in-game. Check it out here!

• 3.4 Testing Information. According to Samuraiko, Director of Community Relations Linda “Brasse” Carlson revealed that 3.4 might be launching at the end of September. However, the date is subject to change as it is still being discussed. MMORPG.com also reveals at the bottom of their article that full-time beta would begin in September. [r]

• World Event Tracker Bug Info. Some players (especially those on Hailol/Laethys) are unable to see the World Event/Promo Week Tracker. This is a known bug. Tacitus has revealed that it will not be fixed for the next event, but Trion will add “additional diagnostics” to help figure out what is causing the issue. [r]
