RIFT news tidbits for 23rd October 2015.
- RIFT 3.4: Into the Wilds Patch Notes.
- Extra Life 2015. 24hr charity gaming weekend, 7th-8th Nov. Trion participating 5th year in a row with fundraising rewards, giveaways, contests, titles and in-game activities.
General
- Autumn Harvest Takes Wing [Article]. Trion has posted up an article briefly summarizing some of the activities and new additions to Autumn Harvest this year. Check out screenshots of the Spinderella mount, various costume bundles and new bat-themed weaponry here!
- Autumn Harvest Signet Reduction. Some players may have noticed that Atrophinius is only rewarding one Autumn Harvest Signet per day. This means that you cannot miss more than one daily during the event or you will not be able to obtain 20x Autumn Harvest Signets from the quests alone. Tacitus has confirmed this is intended. [r]
- Note: You still have a chance of obtaining an Autumn Harvest Signet from the special 10hr Autumn Harvest promo minion adventures.
- Autumn Eyes Potions Bug. The Autumn Eyes Potions gained from the Autumn Harvest instance are currently unusable. This will be fixed in next week’s hotfix. [r]
- Autumncap Fungus Change. Autumncap Fungi have changed this year to no longer require a reactive ability. You must pick the fungi up manually now. This has led to problems with reaching fungi placed on trees and other out-of-reach locations. Tacitus explains the change here. Tacitus is looking to audit the spawns for next week’s hotfix. [r]
- No Pumpkin Dye. The Pumpkin Dye is no longer on the RIFT Store for Autumn Harvest this year because it is permanently available as a dye bucket unlock in Wardrobe (“Exceptionally Pumpkin”). [r]
- About $5 Credit Bonus from PTS. The $5 Credit Bonus that was briefly available on the PTS that gave you a 15-day patron pass is not currently on the schedule, but is something Trion is considering for the future. [r]
- Planetouched Wilds XP Rewards Bug. Currently, Planetouched Wilds quests are giving experience that reflects Level 50 zone quests rather than a Level 65 zone. A fix is in the works; no ETA. [r]

Autumncap Fungi are very easy to farm in some locations, more so than others. My favorite is Scarlet Gorge, if you take the southmost portal, and travel north in the river. Rock formations on the river banks, specially near small waterfalls, will have many Fungi easily reachable. It takes about 1 minute to collect the 8 you need this way.
For me, the change makes the fungi much easier to spot, and faster to farm. The only downside is that you can’t farm a stack of them at once anymore, so you can’t be done with this in one go. You -have- to go out there every day now.
you can trade the fungus between chars, so grab 8 on your main and send them to alts (using in game mail), then grab 8 more, send to alts again, you can do this all day as long as you dont hand in the quest 🙂
