Guide: Autumn Harvest 2015

Autumn Harvest 2015 Guide Feature Image

Autumn Harvest is an annual World Event that celebrates all things Autumn, Halloween and Fae. A new special instance opens up filled with questgivers, halloween masks, spooky mounts and artifacts nodes only visible with special potions.

Autumn Harvest 2015 lasts for three weeks this year from 22nd October to 3:30PM Server Time on Friday, 13th November 2015.*

*Autumn Harvest has been extended by one day till Friday 13th Nov due to issues accessing the quest hub instance during the first day of the event. This extension is not reflected in the world event tracker.

Known Bugs

A list of known bugs from the current Autumn Harvest world event:

  • Laethys Missing World Event Tracker. Players from the Laethys shard are having on-going issues viewing the world event tracker. All quests and activities are still available though.

Store Items

Autumn Harvest Store Guide BannerThere’s a whole plethora of Store Items available during the Autumn Harvest world event that you can access via RIFT Store (default key “]“) -> World Event. Items include Halloween masks, pumpkin & bat themed weapon skins, disguise items, a special Spinderella mount and some nice earrings.

Most items require either event currency or Credits.

Quests Guide

Autumn Harvest Quests Guide BannerAutumn Harvest makes use of a special instance called The Realm of the Autumn Harvest, which contains the main quest hub for the event. To reach this quest hub, you first need to complete the “Pumpkin Patching” daily quest which can be obtained from Sanctum (Guardians) or Meridian (Defiants).

Obtaining Event Currency

There’s a few ways of obtaining event currency:

  • Daily Quests. Most of the daily quests give some Ambersap, with Close Rifts giving 1 Signet.
    • Pumpkin Patching (25x Ambersap).
    • Hand of the Harvest (25x Ambersap).
    • Autumncap Haul (25x Ambersap).
    • Close Rifts (1x Signet).
  • Closing Rifts. Must be mentored to around the level of the Rift or else you won’t get any currency. Gives around 12 Autumn Harvest Ambersap.
    • The “An Auspicious Harvest” rift whose lure you can obtain for 5 Ambersap from the RIFT Store -> World Event seems to pay out more Ambersap than normal rifts.
  • Completing Zone Events. Zone events will also give some Autumn Harvest Ambersap.
  • Autumn Harvest Instant Adventures. The bosses in the Autumn Harvest version of Gloamwood Instant Adventures gives some Ambersap.
  • Autumn Harvest Minion Adventures. These give 8-12 Autumn Harvest Ambersap and have a rare chance of dropping Autumn Harvest Signets. Seems like Signets have a chance of dropping from both the 5/15min Autumn Harvest adventures as well as the 10hr ones.

Bonus Currency

Token bonuses work on Autumn Harvest Ambersap, so get out your +10% token boost gear before turning in quests!

Minion Adventures

Autumn Harvest Minions Guide BannerThere’s two main types of Autumn Harvest minion adventures: a chain from the RIFT Store and the 10hr Promo adventures. The chain adventure rewards 5 minion cards and the 10hr promo adventures provide an assortment of currency and Autumn Harvest-related items. There’s also a rare chance at Autumn Harvest Signets.

Achievements

Autumn Harvest Achievements Guide BannerThere’s several achievements related to Autumn Harvest that you can find under Achievements -> World Events -> Autumn Harvest. Quite a few of the achievements have rewards such as an Armored Reaper mount, pets, a Grim Harvest cape, disguise pots and a Creepy Crawler portrait badge.

Other Activities

Autumn Harvest also includes some other activities that pop up during the event.

  • Gloamwood Instant Adventures. Hit “.” and join “Featured: Gloamwood” for some halloween-themed Instant Adventures!
  • Autumn Harvest Rifts:
    • An Auspicious Harvest. Available at the bottom of RIFT Store -> World Event for 5 Autumn Harvest Ambersap currency. Gives ~50 after completing the entire rift.
    • Witch’s Brew. This is a Death Rift that randomly spawns in Mathosia.

Hope you found this guide useful, and best of luck getting those spooky items (or earrings) you’ve been eyeing this Autumn Harvest!

I did my Minions fully – had a prob at first – did 2 yesterday and 3rd one was a no show – so today when was a roll-over for day change – one shows and it was the one I had already done yesterday! So complained about that – as it had cost me 9k in Aventurine and nothing showed up for the 8 hr one I needed.
Anyway – decided to carry on from the one that showed up today – BUT also decided to do something not mentioned in the walk-through – I put the Master minion – the one u have to buy to start the adventures – I put him out on an 8 hr one and left him there – and that was the right thing to do – as after that the ones I needed showed up on the 2nd & 3rd turn of cards – still had to spend aventurine of course as had to hurry them up to send the next one.
Also what she did not say in the Walk-through is u Need to have claimed that last Autumn Harvest minion card u sent, before doing the cards again – or the next one will not show. If that makes sense……lol

Glad you got your cards Mischka! As you mentioned, you have to complete the previous adventure in the chain to continue to the next one.

OK – a Complaint – I got the Credits deal where u get the 5 Chests as well – WHY did I bother? Should have known they would all just hold JUNK! The only thing I got that could be used was an Essence – and it was not much better than one I swopped it for [which was pretty bad in itself anyway] – it had just a little more Crit Power on it – so decided to use it – otherwise all the rest is going to an alt to be broken – it was so bad – the stats were terrible on the only 2 armor items I got – even if I had been able to sell them – no-one would have bought them – that is how bad they were – Just Junk – and listening to others doing the same Credit Deal – they also got Junk – ppl r Not happy – unhappy players is Not a good thing!

Yea, I got junk too; but a guildmate received the Spinderella mount in one of her boxes. Have you tried going on the NA shards and popping your 5 Spinderella Troves there? You get 5x both on EU and NA (and PTS). Might get lucky with the mount and since it is account-wide unlock, it’ll benefit your EU chars.

Thanks for the heads up on that Khortish – never thought about it being on all those too – I actually play NA shards – but have chars on both PTS and EU – so went to PTS – she got an item that would have been great on the NA shard …lol, But – of course being the PTS shard – my char has much better gear :o/ rest was Junk again – so off to the EU shard – Char is a Lv 10 :oP and guess what? She got – No not the Spinderella..lol – but she got some good items – for a Lv 10 that is!!!!!! LOL
Now was not expecting the Spinderella in any of them – as it is rare to get it (Grats to ur Guild mate though – bet that was a heart stopping moment …..lol) – I Was however Expecting at least Something nice for the char on the Shard I play Every Day and the one I Use Credits for! Still Annoyed my Character didn’t at least get something nice – a piece of armor (just one piece not expecting the world) or even a weapon – or how about even a couple of Good Essences? But nope not a thing – am pretty annoyed that the only chars that got anything were the EU – which is a Low Lv (which I actually do not play!) and the PTS shard, which for her, being on PTS – it Was Junk…lol – But for my NA one would have been really nice!! I guess I was Expecting too much from Trion! Well I guess I will not be taking Trion up on their special offers again – once bitten twice shy! and am guessing a LOT of other players feel the same.
      Shame on u Trion!!!

LOL am back – forgot to mention: the Autumncap Fungus Quest – unlike past years – we cannot pick up more than the 8 wanted for the quest – which means you have to come in and collect them Every day, instead of collecting as much as u can to keep u going for a while which then helps with being able to get and hand in the quest right away each day, to save time. :o/

    • October 24, 2015 at 4:57 pm #

That’s an unfortunate change. Thanks for the info Mischka!

      Heads Up:

OK – now someone has just told me a great way to get those Fungus by more than 8 at a time, so can send them to ur other chars so only need one char to do all the work.
      She said:
Start to do the quest do Not finish it – take the fungus out of ur Quest log and put them in ur bag – Mail them to an alt, rinse and repeat.

      She also does this:
So u don’t have to go running half way across the map to the Fae rings – just go to where the nearest one would normally be – then shard hop till u land by one – sounds like it might be long and drawn out and u may as well ride? I tried it – and it is faster in the long run :o)

Just a note on the quest guide, both portals return you to your faction home porticulum; they are not divided by faction themselves. I was using both on all of my characters with no issue, other than the times the frostjacks were up and I got turned into a snowman right as I ran through the portal, lol.

    • October 24, 2015 at 4:58 pm #

Thanks for the correction Kurgan! Haha, that’s unfortunate on the frostjacks – they can be annoying.

Just a small correction on the “Go Forth, My Minions!” achievement in the Achievement Guide – you don’t need claim “all” 6 Promo adventures to get it, just one will do (as described in your screenshot). I know this for a fact, have got it on 2 alts this week.

Thanks for the correction Xarhuli! 😀

They keep saying it only applies to rifts in Mathosia, but I’ve gotten ambersap from rifts in Dusken & Brevane too.

    • October 28, 2015 at 9:18 pm #

Looks like they must have updated it; thanks for the info Likalaruku!

    What and where zone events?

    • October 29, 2015 at 12:01 pm #

Should be zone events in general for the Ambersap currency. I don’t think there’s a specific Autumn Harvest zone event.
