RIFT news tidbits for 6th November 2015. An Extra Life 2015 special, since the event starts tomorrow.

• Extra Life 2015. 24hr charity gaming weekend, 7th-8th Nov. Trion participating 5th year in a row with fundraising rewards, giveaways, contests, titles and in-game activities.

Extra Life 2015

The Extra Life 2015 24hr gaming charity event is this weekend! If you’re not sure what the event is about, full information can be found here. Below is a quick summary of key times/events to be aware of:

• Title Rewards. There’s 1hr and 24hr title rewards for playing any of Trion’s games over the weekend. The count for title rewards starts 8am PST on Saturday, 7th Nov 2015 and ends at 8am PST on Monday, 9th Nov 2015, giving you 48hrs to earn those 24hr titles.

• Fundraising Milestone Rewards. There’s a huge amount of rewards for reaching fundraising milestones on your Extra Life fundraising page, both from Extra Life and Trion Worlds themselves. Rewards include pets, mounts, portrait frames, portrait badges and game packs!
  • Both categories (Extra Life + Trion Worlds) stack and you get all rewards from previous milestones that you have reached, not just the highest one you obtain.
  • For Trion Worlds’ Fundraising Milestone, you must link your fundraising page to Trion Worlds 2015 Team.
  • Expect 1-7 days for Extra Life rewards, and 2-4 weeks+ for Trion Worlds’ rewards to reach your e-mail. They’ll be in the form of codes.
  • Be sure to have support@cmnhospitals.org or support@extra-life.org whitelisted so they don’t appear in your spam folder.

• Trion 24hr Livestream. As in previous years, Trion will be holding a 24hr livestream on their twitch channel starting at 9am PST on Sat, 7th Nov. They’ll show off their games, participate in various in-game events and have multiple giveaways throughout.
  • Player MisterWibble will also be livestreaming throughout the weekend with random giveaways of Patron, Soul Packs, Nightmate Tide Ultimate Editions and 4th Anniversary Arclight Rider mount. Be sure to visit his stream here!

• In-game Events.
  • Corgi Rifts start appearing at 12am PST on Nov 7th until 12am PST on Nov 8th. Get your “of House Fluffington” title from the “Suddenly, Corgis” achievement!
  • Dev Kerilar mentioned there’s going to be an Extra Life-related event in Planetouched Wilds starting on Saturday Nov 7th at 9am PST. The exact shards this is happening on is unknown at this time, but will happen on both NA and EU. Will last approx. 1-2hrs. [r]
    
  • Seshatar’s Stronghold Ball Arena: The Thunderdome Cup (Player-run) will be held in EU in Chulia@Brutwacht’s “The Thunderdome Cup” dimension with some sweet prizes. Register your team here!

• Fundraising Contests. There’s a few fundraising contests. All of these generally end late Saturday or Sunday prior to the Extra Life event ending.
  • Minion Card: Rough Raptors by SupermanSocks. 15 random donators ($10+) to Ryan Copeland’s fundraising page will receive the very rare Minion Card: Rough Raptors. Other prize: Primal Khadlig mount. Also, if he raises $10k, he’ll shave off his hair (which hasn’t been cut in 18 months).
  • Nogardgib’s Fundraiser. Nogardgib is giving away a ton of in-game items via random draw with minimum donations of $5+ to his fundraising page until Sunday, 8th November 2015 at 11AM EST. Giveaway includes 20 REX, various Mounts, 20k Plat and more!
  • Seshatar’s Fundraiser. Seshatar has a huge donation fundraising drive going on with forum giveaways, forum contests, an in-game contest, fundraising giveaway and more. Lots of 30-day Patron Passes, REX, and life-time access to the <Skins on Farm> wardrobe bank.
  • Xol’s Fundraiser. Xol is giving away a variety of REX, lockboxes and mounts via random draw with minimum donations of $5+ to his fundraising page. Also doing a forum giveaway with various wardrobe bundles.
  • Wibble’s Fundraiser. MisterWibble is giving away 30-day Patron, Nightmare Tide Ultimate Edition, Soul Pack and the Wilds Pack to donators (tier-based). He will also be livestreaming with more giveaways to come!
  • RiftGrate/Khortish’s Fundraiser. I’m also holding a contest/giveaway with Collector’s Packs, Dream/Storm Souls and REX given away.

General

• Primalist Preserver Mobility Nerf Change. After checking out some early data, Red Hawk has announced that the Primalist’s Preserver mobility nerf that was introduced in this week’s hotfix will be reduced from a 50% movement reduction to a 25% movement reduction. Change will be up in next week’s hotfix. [r]

• Planetouched Wilds: “The Siege of Shal Korva” Bug. If you are doing Act III of the Planetouched Wilds storyline, note that “The Siege of Shal Korva” quest has a bug that can pop up. When doing the instanced quest, be sure not to skip any roleplaying or objectives, otherwise the quest will bug out and you will have to exit the instance, wait 15min, reset it, and do the quest all over again. A fix is being worked on. [r]

• Laethys: Faerie Rings. The Faerie Rings on the Laethys shard should be back up now after they disappeared in this week’s hotfix. [r]

• More The Mind of Madness Concept Art. Recently Lead Concept Artist Sven Bybee posted up some Mind of Madness concept art. Senior Concept Artist Stephen Mabee has also posted up a whole heap of MoM art today for you to check out!
  • The Heart of Darkness.
  • Arisen Arak.
  • Pagura, Destroyer of Worlds.
  • Lady Justice.

• Primal Khadlig Mount. DEV_SupermanSocks has revealed that the “red fire” Strider mount is called the Primal Khadlig mount. He has posted up a screenshot of it in his Extra Life fundraising page as one of the donation prizes. You can check it out here.
