RIFT news tidbits for 9th December 2015.

• Fae Yule starts 3:30PM Server Time on 10th Dec 2015. (NA)(EU). Check out a comprehensive guide to the world event here!

General

• RIFT 3.5: Winter’s Wrath Launches. RIFT 3.5 is now up on all shards! New Affinity System adds rewards for logging in/playing; Mage/Cleric base damage increased by 7% for certain abilities; Cleric Defiler Pain Transmission ability changed; Primalist Savage Blow Mastery changed; The Mind of Madness – Final Four bosses are up; Tier 1 Relic Ranged Weapons no longer boost other NT procs; New tier of PvP Gear (Warmongers; T2) and more!   • Note: Chloromancer Evort NPC is up, but is currently inactive. Will likely become active some time in December for the Peaceful Hills dimension key.

• RIFT 3.5 Known Issues. CM Morgana has posted up a Known Issues thread you can check out here.
  • Ascended Troves are not being rewarded for players above Level 10. This is a new trove players get for every 10 levels that contains pots, a mount/etc.
  • Conquest is disabled due to problems with the new changes to timers and lockouts. A potential fix will be looked at tomorrow. [r]
  • No Eyebrows Bug has popped up with the 3.5 patch. Currently no fix, but it is being looked into. [r]
  • Affinity Hourly Gain Bug. Right now there’s a bug if you crash or exit the game and then try to relog too soon, making the 60min timer reset. A temporary work-around is to wait at least 5min after you crash or exit the client before you log back onto a character. [r]

• Guide: Fae Yule World Event. The Fae Yule World Event starts tomorrow at 3:30PM Server Time on Thursday, 10th Dec 2015. (NA)(EU).
  • Note: Faelight Sparkle Returns, RIFT Store items and Fae Yule minion adventure chains are active already (10hr might not be up yet). You can also get the Dormant Fae Yule Gift that drops Tier 1 raid loot from final boss of Level 65 Experts as well.
  • The new Fae Yule Gift zone events allow you to obtain both the 6 old Fae Yule artifact sets, and the 6 new ones for this year. [r]

• GaymerX Convention. Trion will be participating in the GaymerX convention in San Jose from Dec 11-13th. Interested in a job at Trion? Head to Booth 412 and speak to one of their hiring staff!
  • Giveaway: If you join Trion’s Extra Life team and bring proof that you have joined, you’ll get a loot code for Devilian. Unknown what the code gives.

• The Mind of Madness Finale. The last four bosses of the Tier 3 20-man raid “The Mind of Madness” are out. Trion has posted up an article with some lore about the bosses, and you can check out a livestream preview of the bosses here.
