• RIFT 3.5: Winter’s Wrath. Patch Notes and additional information.

General

• RIFT 3.5 Hotfix #2.5. The game was updated to RIFT 3.5 Hotfix #2.5 on Tuesday. No server downtime was needed. Hotfix was to implement a potential fix to the client-crash-on-login issues some players were experiencing lately. [r] Snedhepl has provided a brief explanation of the issue, which has something to do with memory corruption here.

• Upcoming Region Restarts. CM Morgana has posted the Region Restart information for the next two weeks. Due to the holidays, no further notifications will likely be posted. Downtime for each restart is estimated at 1hr.

    • Europe: 12/24/15 at 2AM GMT
  • For Next Week:
    • North America: 12/30/2015 at 7:30AM PST
    • Europe: 12/31/15 at 2AM GMT
  • Also just a friendly reminder that Fae Yule Phase 2 ends at 3:30PM Server Time (NA: PST; EU: GMT) on Thursday, 24th December 2015! Don’t forget to do your Phase 2 Story Quest!

• Promo: RIFT Discounts. Trion has launched a few discounts on Patron and various Packs. [r] The offers are on the Glyph website and Steam.
  • Patron Discounts:
    • 3 Month Patron $40.47 now $34.99.
    • 6 Month Patron $71.94 now $59.99.
    • 12 Month Patron $131.88 now $99.99.
    • CM Ocho has confirmed that you can keep the discounts for future patron subscriptions, as long as you don’t cancel your subscription. [r]
    • Deal lasts until 5th January 2016 at 7am UTC.
  • RIFT Packs Half Price:
    • Typhoon, Infusion, Ultimate Nightmare, Dream Soul, Storm Soul and Power Packs are half price (for the $ values) until 4th January 2016 at 10am PST.
  • Credit Pack Promo:
    • If you purchase a $20 Credit Pack from the RIFT Store, you’ll get a bonus Jolly Hellbug Companion Pet. The $100 Credit Pack gets you the Jolly Hellbug Mount. Offer ends 7th January 2016.

• RIXTY “Into the Wilds” Gift Giveaway. Just a heads up that out of all the sites that were giving away “Into the Wilds” Gift codes back in October, RIXTY still seems to have codes remaining. These are free, but one per account only. They contain 1x Planar Squirrel Mount (random which one you get), 4x Nightmare weapon skins and 1mil PA XP (auto-consumed). You can get the code here (although you’ll need to have a RIXTY account, or register one).
  • Note: As with all “Into the Wilds” codes, these all expire on Dec 31st 2015.

• Warning: Warmonger’s Marks Cap. Just a heads-up that you can still consume favor trying to purchase Warmonger’s Marks (RIFT Store- > Equipment -> Upgrade Parts) when you reach the weekly cap (6). Doing so will consume the favor, but won’t increase the amount of Warmonger’s Marks you have. Trion is now aware of the issue, but due to the holidays will likely not have a fix in until early next year. For now, if you run into this issue, please contact Trion’s customer support. [r]

• Certain Mind of Madness Bosses Disabled. Dark Genesis and Arisen Arak bosses in The Mind of Madness raid have been temporarily disabled until next year. [r]
  • Oria Xu from Apotheosys has posted up a video explaining the issues relating to the Dark Genesis boss that has caused it to be disabled. (Warning: Some NSFW language).

• Dimension Item Rarity. Morticus has mentioned that Trion could look at changing the rarity of certain dimension items in a response to player complaints about the drops from the Rare Dimension Mystery Box (36 Affinity). No details, and Morticus mentioned Trion would need to find time in the schedule to take a look at this issue. [r]
