RIFT news tidbits for 19th January 2016.

• RIFT 3.5: Winter’s Wrath. Patch Notes and additional information.

General

• Planned Region Downtime. All shards will be going down for RIFT 3.5 Hotfix #6 tomorrow.
  • North America: 7:30AM PST on 1/20/16. Estimated downtime is 1hr 15min.
  • Europe: 2AM GMT on 1/21/16. Estimated downtime is 1hr.

• Official Ongoing Dimension Request List Updated. Morticus has updated the on-going dimension request list here. Note that this is just a collection of requests made by players and does not indicate planned content. However, Morticus does add notes to some and crosses out anything that is planned or won’t happen. Below is a list that is coming:
  • Dimension Keys: Haunted Terminal (Tempest Bay); Lanquarium; and Anywhere with deep/old growth forest theme. Coming after 3.5.
  • Glass/Ice/Water building blocks. Morticus: “Art made this work […] Expect them soon(tm)”. [Likely relates to -> [Image]].
  • There’s no plans to expand on PvP gameplay in dimensions. [r]

• New Emote: Lookout. Comparing some new vs old char config files, it seems that High Elves and Kelari have a new ‘Lookout’ emote. Type /lookout to check it out!
  • The emote is on a continuous loop and has some nice poses for screenshot enthusiasts.
  • The emote is not in old emote lists or /help commands, so it’s likely relatively new.
  • /lookout doesn’t work on Bahmi or Eth, so it’s possible that the emote might have hit Live prematurely.

• RIFT Store Upgrade Bug Fix. The issues with viewing upgrades on the RIFT Store will be fixed in this week’s hotfix. [r]

• Bronze Tomb Fixes. Kerilar has posted up that with this week’s hotfix, the endless respawn and stuck corpse issues should be fixed. The min. number of players required to start a match will also been increased to 10 per side. [r]

• Callweddi Village Info. Dead Simon has provided a list of puzzle-related items you can purchase once you have access to Callweddi village. [r]
  • Antonell sells 5 puzzle boxes: three spawn artifacts and the other two provide special dimensions, one which requires max notoriety with the Achyati.
  • After collecting the PTW puzzle books, Antonell offers 6 more puzzle boxes: one contains the Life Lifter mount; the other 5 make up the Callweddi Ceremonial Garb outfit.

The PTS was updated today with an ~2GB patch. The bulk of the file size is likely catch-up to the Live client, especially the RIFT 3.5 Hotfix #3 patch. PTS is currently offline. Will have an article up once it comes back online, but we can probably expect at least some Cleric Shaman tweaks, as Red Hawk mentioned last week. [r]

  • Dr. Frankenstein’s Castle by Galandrial@Deepwood. Tour Dr. Frankenstein’s castle with all its interesting creations.
  • To Everything there is a Season by Redeemed@Wolfsbane. Check out a preview of this hidden gem on Wolfsbane!

• WGS-Ghostbusters (Gelo&Cara) [Dimension]. Loved the movie? Well, you better check out WGS-Ghostbusters (Gelo&Cara) by Geloe on the Brutwacht (EU) shard! The dimension has everything from the ghostbusters themselves, their car, marshmallow man and more! Check out some preview screenshots over at The Dimension Gallery!

• WGS-Moria [Dimension]. You’ve read about it and seen it in the movies, now you can walk through the famous moment when Gandalf the Gray takes on the Balrog. Check out Chulia@Brutwacht’s dimension by searching for “WGS-Moria” whilst on the Brutwacht server! Nouvae has a screenshot preview here!
