RIFT news tidbits for 20th January 2016.

• RIFT 3.5: Winter’s Wrath. Patch Notes and additional information.

General

• RIFT 3.5 Hotfix #6. The game was updated to RIFT 3.5 Hotfix #6 with the Cleric Shaman changes that were up on PTS; a whole range of bug fixes to instant adventures, zone events, quests and the Mind of Madness raid. Haligan the Pyretouched minion card has also been adjusted again; you can now disable Equipment Picker; and a bunch of other bug fixes. Full notes + additional info here.
  • Fae Yule World Event tab on the RIFT Store has been removed.
  • You can remove the Equipment Picker feature by hitting Esc -> Settings -> Interface -> Misc and uncheck “Show equipment picker”. [image].

• Instant Adventure Issue. There’s currently an bug with certain Instant Adventures where mobs specific to a previous adventure will teleport with you when your IA group gets ported to a new zone. This can cause issues due to automentoring (i.e. Level 50 mob follows you to a Level 15 zone). If you experience this issue, please take note of the name of the previous adventure and what mob killed you and post it here.

• Sky Projector Graphics Bug. Some dimension sky projectors have graphical issues. Trion is aware of the issue and looking into it. [r]

• RIFT Cosplay @ Gamescom 2015. The official RIFT twitter account posted up a photo of Archonix with cosplay from HS-Design wearing Warrior and Mage Frost Keeper’s gear from last year’s Gamescom 2015 Trion Party! Check it out here!

• RIFT Livestream this Friday. Trion’s Livestream Schedule has been updated. RIFT portion starts at 3:30PM PST on Friday, 22nd Jan 2016. The stream will be broadcasted on Trion’s twitch channel.

• Wardrobe Wednesday’s Ultimate Wardrobe Challenge [Contest]. Big news during today’s Wardrobe Wednesday livestream from the folks over at Rift-Wardrobe.com. An extra special joint Rift-Wardrobe/Trion wardrobe contest is being held for February with fantastic prizes! Theme-free contest with big prizes (e.g. part of 1st prize includes 15k credits and a TBD mount) including exclusive “Stylin'” prefix title.

  • Like their usual monthly wardrobe contest, submissions will be voted on a weekly basis on the Wardrobe Wednesday livestream. Two finalists each week and then in the final week, Trion’s own Friday livestream will vote for the top 3 out of the remaining finalists.
  • Full details for the contest including prizes, submission form, voting will be available on the Rift-Wardrobe.com website once the contest officially begins on the 25th Jan.
  • Note: Entry submissions do not begin until 1am PST on 25th Jan 2016. Any entries submitted on Rift-Wardrobe up to midnight Sunday on 24th Jan will count towards January’s wardrobe contest!
  • Note2: Trion may disqualify finalists if their wardrobe entry has pieces that Trion cannot add as a bundle to the RIFT Store. [Pieces probably includes exclusives with third parties like the Cape of Razing (Razer promo), Doctor’s outfit (Doctor’s Without Borders charity promo) and the Wasteland Wanderer hat (Wasteland 2 pre-order bonus), and likely any wardrobe exclusive to bundles/packs. Probably safer to not use anything that is exclusive to a pack/bundle, retired, third-party cross-promo or that is locked behind a long content gate (like the Callweddi Ceremonial Garb).]

• Wilds Packs Wild Zone and Forum Giveaway Winners Announced [Contests]. Kiwi has announced the winners of her Wilds Pack Wild Zone and Forum REX Winner today, earlier than scheduled due to a busy schedule. Congratulations to Alliandre@Brutwacht, Lokiilee@Hailol and Amielle@Hailol for winning the Wilds Pack Wild Zone contest, and to Yaminn@Deepwood for the Forum REX giveaway! • Riftblade Warrior PvP Guide [Video][Guide]. Grim has uploaded a new video with a guide to playing a Warrior Riftblade PvP spec. Includes macros and kalerts in the comments section. Check it out here!

• Geloe’s Gutshof [Dimension]. Seyler over at The Dimension Touring Company takes a tour of “Gelo’s Gutshof” dimension by Geloe@Brutwacht. The tour goes through a very nice estate with some residents inside, with additional screenshots of some of Geloe’s other dimensions. Check it out here!
