• RIFT 3.5: Winter’s Wrath. Patch Notes and additional information.

General

• RIFT Livestream this Friday. RIFT livestream starts at 3:30PM PST on Friday, 22nd Jan 2016 and will have CM Ocho, Gingers and Snedhepl talking about Engineering and Tech. The stream will be broadcasted on Trion’s twitch channel.

• Budgie Madness Promo Week. Budgie Madness is back with a new mount “Spooky the Nightmare Budgie“. It’s a rare chance drop from the Limited Edition: Spooky the Nightmare Budgie Trove. Budgie Race dailies are also up providing Bird Seed used to purchase Ashen, Frosty and Umbral Budgie mounts from the PRI Quartermaster. Event ends 28th Jan 2016 at 3:30PM Server Time. • A Look Back: The Planes of Heroes of Telara. Ever wondered what the game was like prior to launch? It actually wasn’t initially called RIFT. In fact, it didn’t even have Rifts at the start and Port Scion existed in the game prior to launch. Check out the first in a series of “A Look Back” articles as we draw closer to RIFT’s 5th Anniversary!

• Weapon VFX Fix. MrScary has announced that the bug causing weapon vfx to be unable to be applied in the off-hand slot will be fixed in the next patch. [r]

• Mind of Madness Progression. Congratulations to the following guilds that have recently entered the Top 3 World/Region standings!
  • Vis & Misericordia (Pillars of Justice). Nephilim (Greybriar, NA)
    with NA 3rd, World 10th kill.
  • Dark Genesis. Transcendent (Gelidra, EU) with EU 2nd, World 3rd and Khalim’na (Brisesol, EU) with EU 3rd, World 4th kills.
    • The Fires of Heaven vs Dark Genesis – Rogue DPS by Ilikeoranges. (Early version of the fight)
    • The Fires of Heaven vs Dark Genesis – Primalist Heals by Life. (2nd Kill)
    • Transcendent vs Dark Genesis – Cleric Tank by Rubinelol. (Post-3.5 Hotfix #4 bug fixes)
