Large 1.8GB PTS Update – now the Datamining: Corpses; Draumheim Porticulum; Mermaid Decor Models, Rigs and Skins; Sea Colossus Rig; RIFT 3.0 Weapon Models and more!

With Patch 2.8: Madness Wakes releasing on the North American shards (European shards now down for the patch), there’s been some backlash from a portion of players about the new Auction House system. Specifically, the non-refundable 5% deposit on listing items on the Auction House. Also, check up on some of the changes incoming. For those abusing the AH exploit – Trion are aware and checking logs to identify you.

With RIFT 2.8: Madness Wakes, a new 3.0 prelude quest chain has sprung up in Tempest Bay for you to pick up. We’ve got a quick guide to the quest chain for you to check out here.

Trion is updating RIFT with RIFT Patch 2.8: “Madness Wakes” at 7:30AM PDT 6th August (NA) and 1:00AM GMT 7th August (EU). Tons of changes, content additions and improvements – read the entire notes!

2.8 ‘STABLE’ patch up on the Public Test Shard with minor tidbits including ‘Night Terror’ zone event fixes; a ‘Tirhin Vohonar’ NPC located at the Wreck of the Endeavor that ports testers to a Nightmare Rift instance; 3.0 prelude quest fix; “Fortress of the Broodmother” zone event and some 3.0 SFX datamined.

Trion showed off Nightmare Coast Dungeon and talked RIFT 2.8: Madness Wakes as well as a brief look of 3.0 in today’s Friday Livestream on 1st August 2014.

Trion held a “Trion Worlds Community Day 2014” earlier in the week where they invited a group of players from their various titles over to the Trion Worlds office. A few hints at future content has been revealed although there’s no details. Further information on Minions, a “major PvP-related” addition, “buff warlords” and RIFT Mobile App improvements teased.

Relatively small ~150mb PTS Update for 28th July 2014. New Fury of the Ascended ability changes the ability to a 1hr buff with a stacking buff mechanic that makes it so that smaller groups of Invasions become harder but much larger (15+) becomes easier.
