RIFT news tidbits for 26th Feb 2015.

Carnival of the Ascended 2015

The Carnival of the Ascended has begun again, celebrating the 4th Anniversary of RIFT! New Carnival goods such as masks, weapon costumes, ‘bubble’ Dimension items, Carousel Ram mount and Level 65 Essences can be found on the RIFT Store -> World Event.

• Carnival lasts until 3:30PM Server Time on 19th March 2015.

General

• RIFT 3.1 Hotfix 5.5. A small hotfix was made without shard down-time to remove sound from Arclight Riders, Arclight Lifters and Storm Legion Lifters in an attempt to fix some recent client crash issues. [r]

• Carnival of the Ascended. Carnival of the Ascended World Event has begun! A few tidbits of information on it:
  • Guide: Carnival of the Ascended 2015. A guide with information on all the quests, Carnival games, new Pinata Prize Bag and more!
  • RIFT: Celebrate 4 Years With Carnival of the Ascended – Trion posts up an article with a brief summary of information on this year’s Carnival.
  • The World Event Tracker was disabled/auto-completed a few minutes after Carnival 2015 began for both NA and EU shards. This is a bug – the activities are still up, only the tracker is down.
  • Materials for the “Building the Parade Floats” quest doesn’t drop for players whose gathering professions are above skill level 375. This will be fixed with the next patch. [r]

• Reminder: Friday Livestream. Trion will be holding a “RIFT 4th Anniversary Retrospective” livestream on Friday at 3:30PM PST. Be sure to check it out over on the Trion Worlds Twitch channel at the appointed time. I’ll have a summary up shortly after in case you miss it.

• Elo Rating Visible. Daglar has announced that Trion is planning on making your PvP Elo rating visible. Your Elo rating goes up as you win games and goes down as you lose them – it is also used as part of RIFT’s warfront matchmaking system. No ETA. [r]

• About Arclight Minion Adventures. CM Ocho has announced that the Arclight Minion adventures (which were disabled at 3:30PM ST today) will be returning permanently. This will allow you to continue completing the Arclight achievement to obtain Minion: Archaeologist Herim. ETA: Possibly next week. [r]
