Want a fast way to get +100 Hit gear? Do the Rust Bucket 2 achievement! There’s 8 chests that contain random Level 65 loot – you can even get epics! The Chest, Legs, Gloves and Helm pieces are +100 Hit so they are a great supplement to your Void Seeker, Abyssal Crusader’s, chronicle drops and crafted gear to push you asap into Level 65 Experts (that require 800 Hit).
Note: Don’t forget to do the Shadow From the Beyond chronicle when you hit 65 as it will also drop +100 Hit gear. You can access this chronicle via the Chronicle window (default key “j“).
What do the chests drop?
Chests will drop a bag containing random loot appropriate for your class including Hit+100 gear. You can only loot the chests once for the gear. 8 chests in total.

Above you can see examples of the loot when using a Level 65 Cleric. The +100 Hit will be a huge help in pushing to 800 Hit (required for Level 65 Experts).
Note: The gear is Bind on equip.
Where is it?
All 8 chests are located on the three ships at Port Scuddra’s port. There’s 2 chests on the first ship, 3 chests on the second ship and 3 chests on the third ship.

Chest #1 – First Ship
Chest #1
Chest #1 is located at (6834, 834, 4396) on the first ship:
/setwaypoint 6834 4396
To get to it, just jump on the railing and jump down (without falling off!) at the back of the first ship.
Chest #2 – First Ship

Chest #2 is located at (6739, 837, 4442) on the first ship:
/setwaypoint 6739 4442
To get to it, go to the front of the first ship and then jump on the railing to the left. Walk onto it and towards the chest. You’ll notice you can’t get ‘in’ below the railing. Just walk backwards whilst hudding the mast and you should ‘drop down’, allowing you to walk forward and pick up the chest.
Chest #3 – Second Ship

Chest #3 is located at (6808, 816, 4473) inside the second ship:

To get to it, you can either enter through the right side of the ship underneath the water or from the back and below the ship. It is located on the left side next to the ‘furnace’ pipe near the front of the ship.

Chest #4 is located at (6820, 810, 4459) inside the second ship:

To get to it, go underneath the ship and near the back will be multiple large entrances as though the ship is ‘incomplete’. It should be at the very bottom elevation towards the front of the ship.
Chest #5 – Second Ship

Chest #5 is located at (6798, 824, 4476) on the side of the second ship:

This chest is located at the front of the ship on the left side. It is accessed from the water. Simply jump to it from the water. Easy to navigate.
Chest #6 – Third Ship

Chest #6 is located at (6782, 826, 4525) on the side of the third ship:

Just like Chest #5, Chest #6 is located on the lower ‘horn’ on the left side of the front of the third ship. To get to it, you can either fall down from the top of the third ship’s railings or use the super-jump (that occurs when you exit water) whilst on the ground and aim for the very tip of the lower horn where the chest is.
Chest #7 – Third Ship

Chest #7 is located at (6858, 838, 4489) on top of the third ship:
/setwaypoint 6858 4489
This is located on the top of the third ship. You need to jump on the horn at the front of the second ship, mount up and then jump forward to get onto the third ship. Once you are on the third ship, the 7th chest is in a small ‘hut’ at the back.
Chest #8 – Third Ship

Chest #8 is located at (6815, 841, 4505) on top of the middle building/furnace on the third ship:

The last chest is located on top of the middle building/furnace on the third ship. To get to it, you can either mount up and jump onto the edge of the roof on the left and then jump/walk your way to the chest, or if you have Angelic Flight (High Elf racial ability) or Leap (Barmi racial ability) you can jump + Angelic Flight/Leap to the sides of the roof to the right and drop down to the chest from there.

I tried this and the icon that let’s you open the chest (the hand) remained grey. Kept going back and its the same, won’t let me open the chest. They are there just sparkling away. Yes I am level 65 and at this point my hit is already over 800, but would be nice to get the acheivment now.
you have to be as close to the chest as possible, literally right on top of the damn things for you to be able to open them.
You need to be really close to them. Try crouching if you can’t reach them.

wow i had crap luck there, only 1 item gave me a upgrade, the rest were all green and worse than what i had. 😦 so im still stuck at 600 something hit for now.
All the Nightmare Tide crafted gear with hit (helm, gloves, chest, legs, neck, 1h, oh, ranged) should have 100 Hit on them.
You can pretty much get +100 hit gear now with just voids from rift store.. The issue with rust bucket is the gear doesn’t have enough main stat to get you into an NTE.. so you end up spending 300+ plat to rune the gear
