PTS Update for 23rd Nov 2015

RIFT’s Public Test Shard (‘PTS’) was updated on the 23rd November 2015 with ~100MB download. There’s new items in the Affinity Rewards as well as some new Faelight Sparkle weapon skins.

Patch version is TEST-303-87-A-1060048.

Summary:

• Affinity Rewards Updated. Dreams Orbs of Affinity; Fishing Poles & Lures; dimension items and notoriety decrees.
  
• Fae Yule Updates. Midnight Mink mount; Faelight Sparkle weapon wardrobes; and two new achievements.
• Other Info. Underwater Mount Training tooltip changed; and Frosty Levitation Supply Crate.

As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.

Affinity Rewards Updated

Affinity Rewards have been updated with some new rewards for various categories on top of the mounts and companion pet from previous PTS Updates. These can be found on the PTS under RIFT Store -> Affinity Rewards.

The Affinity System comes to Live in Patch 3.5, some time in December.

Dream Orb of Affinity

First up there’s two Dream Orbs of Affinity.

From the tooltips, it seems these are the same dream orbs as the regulor ones, just using Affinity currency.

Fishing Poles & Lures

Two poles, two lures. A super-Stan’s Lure and a Cosmos.

Main interest is that Uncle Stan’s Infra-cell Lure claims to work better than Uncle Stan’s Super Secret Lure. I’m guessing it has better chances of the rarer dimension items.

Dimension Items

Key to Dimension: Atia

One dimension key was available: Atia, which is the Defiant fort in the bottom-right corner of the main island on Ember Isle.

That makes the 3rd dimension out of the 9 new dimension keys discovered in feature images datamined a few days ago that we now know where to obtain. Some of the others might end up popping up over time as well.

Rare Dimension Mystery Box

A Rare Dimension Mystery Box which contains 3 or more dimension items. As the tooltip states, it “contains some of the rarest and exotic of all the Dimension items!”. Costs 36 Affinity each.

Notoriety Decrees

Notoriety Decrees are also available now from the Affinity system for 28 Affinity.

Gives 650 notoriety each, and includes Shal Korva rep. They seem to be exactly the same as existing Decrees in the game, so Notoriety bonuses probably work on them.

Fae Yule Updates

A few Fae Yule updates.

Midnight Mink

The Midnight Mink mount is now up on the RIFT Store on the PTS, as a rare chance drop from the Limited Edition: Midnight Mink Trove.

It’s an 155%, land mount (or matches fastest mount).

Faelight Sparkle Weapon Skins

There’s a whole bunch of new Faelight Sparkle weapon skins now up under RIFT Store -> World Event. Costs 500 Unique Snowflakes and 1 Dark Icicle each, or 400 Credits (360 for Patrons).

You can view them all either via RIFT Store -> World Event or via the Wardrobe system by searching for “Faelight”.

New Fae Yule Achievements

Two new Fae Yule achievements popped up: “Sometimes The Thought Is Not All That Counts” and “Things That Go Bump In The Night”.

One has you collecting the new artifact gift sets for this year, whilst the other has you completing 30 of the new Iron Pine Peak Instant Adventures.

Other Info

• Underwater Mount Training item tooltip changed to “Use: Teaches a single mount to swim”, since in 3.5, all mounts can be changed to Amphibious.

• Supply Crate is now Frosty Levitation, found under RIFT Store -> Chests & Keys. This might also indicate that the Patron Weekly guaranteed lockbox might also change to the new Frosty Levitation Supply Crate. Probably changing with 3.5.

New Affinity Rewards added in to make them even juicier than they were previously; some new Fae Yule additions and the Frosty Levitation Supply Crate.
