  • It is Amphibious.

4th Anniversary Arclight Rider Mount

4th Anniversary Arclight Rider Mount

The 4th Anniversary Arclight Rider Mount was introduced to celebrate the 4th Anniversary of RIFT back in March 2015. It is not available during the Arclight Ascendency Promo Week but since it is an Arclight Rider, I have included it here for reference purposes.

It is obtained from Trion community events such as convention parties and livestream giveaways. Recently they were given away during Trion Livestreams, PAX East 2015 and Gamescom 2015.

Arclight Achievement

Arclight Promo Week Achievements

Arclight Promo Week Achievements

The Arclight Ascendency achievements are found under Achievements -> Promotions tab.

Kicked The Tires, Checked The Warranty

Complete the two daily quests in Moonshade Highlands to complete “Kicked The Tires, Checked The Warranty” and receive a Limited Edition: Arclight Rider Trove. The Trove is only rewarded once per character.

More information about the daily quests can be found below.

Capacitor Competency

Collect Archlight Rider Power Couplings

Capacitor Competency achievement is gained from the 1min Minion Adventure Deck.

It’s a random chance to obtain an adventure called “Collect Archlight Rider Power Couplings” in the 1min Minion Adventure Deck. It costs 5 Stamina and takes 5min to complete. Completing this adventure 10 times will get you the Capacitor Competency achievement.

The adventure gives 1,125 Minion Experience.

Note: Just a reminder that when you complete an adventure it goes on cooldown. Something to consider if you’re wondering why you aren’t immediately getting the card showing up again in your deck shortly after you finish doing it.

Daily Quests Guide

There’s 2 Daily Quests:

  • Arclight Time Trials picked up in Moonshade Highlands.
  • Recharge and Refit picked up in Moonshade Highlands, but that requires you go to Scarlet Gorge.

Each one rewards 10 Enduring Sourcestone Batteries used towards obtaining the PRI Quartermaster version of the Arclight Rider mount.

Level requirement seems to be low although the exact minimum is unknown (probably around Level 30 given the Scarlet Gorge mobs).

Quest Givers

Arclight Rider Time Trials Quest Location

Arclight Rider Quest Location

Both quest givers can be found at the bottom-right corner of Moonshade Highlands in Mathosia, below Three Springs and at the edge of Silverwood. /setwaypoint 7116 2558.

Arclight Time Trials

You pick up the Arclight Time Trials from the npc in Moonshade Highlands at the quest hub at (7116, 2558). Once you pick up the quest you will immediately equip a temporary version of the Arclight Rider Mount.

Note: The temporary quest version of the mount is not Amphibious.

The Race

Arclight Rider Race

Arclight Rider Race

The Arclight Time Trials quest is very simple.

The red orbs are a guiding path – just follow them and go over each white AoE ‘checkpoint’ until you get to the finish line. Once you finish you will be able to turn in the quest at the NPC behind the finish line.

Press ‘1’ on cooldown for a speed boost. Press ‘=’ if you want to exit from the Arclight Rider mount. Beware that mobs will no longer be neutral to you.

Note: If your quest isn’t updating with a new checkpoint when you go over a new checkpoint, this probably indicates that you’ve missed one.

Recharge and Refit

Recharge and Refit Quest

Recharge and Refit Quest

You pick up the Recharge and Refit daily quest from the npc in Moonshade Highlands at the quest hub at (7116, 2558).

Note: You need to mentor down to around the mob’s level. (Level 30-32 is pretty safe for most).

The quest involves collecting 10x Intact Power Supplies dropped from mechanical mobs at Frayworn Rock and Ironroot Draw in Scarlet Gorge.

The closest port is Scarwood Lift Base at (4623, 4364). Note that it’s a Defiant base, but Guardians can still speak to the porticulum master, Ferd Egress. Just beware of aggressive (red) Defiant NPCs.

Hope this guide helps you get your head around the Arclight Ascendency Promo Week, and good luck on that Arclight Rider mount! Vroom vroom!

weird thing the trove and the PRI mounts have the same name, but be different. Sad it will take like 3~4 of these promo weeks to get enough currency to buy the mount w/o buying lots of troves.

Dont forget you can do the achievement for a chance to get the bike, the more characters u have the more troves and chances and the bike u can get

On a good note, each toon gets a chance at getting a mount for completing the achievement.

Hi! Are these promo events random? I mean do they start at a particular time of the year?

    • January 16, 2015 at 6:59 pm #

They’re random, usually when there’s a gap in content – no world event, no major patch launch. They happen several times a year.

I tested the internal cooldown for the capacitor competency achievement minion adventure. I was able to get the adventure again 5 minutes after collecting the previous one, so it seems to be quite brief. It does seem to be fairly random how many adventures it takes to get it. For example at times I’ve gotten it within 5 adventures, sometimes it has taken 30 (1 minute) adventures, and this is with a 8 hour gap from the previous completion. Hope this helps.

I can “mine” a corpse of RM-6 Rockmaul or similar constructs (the corpse shows quest informaton) but I unable to get anything else except silver ore or gray items. What is a problem with quest?

    • April 17, 2015 at 3:55 pm #

You need to mentor down to a level around the mobs. Something like Level 30-35 should work.

I have a level 22 character that wasn’t able to pick up the quests, yet you say you had a level 16 that could do them. Has this changed recently?

    • April 19, 2015 at 4:28 pm #

Thanks for the info Kiara! It looks like it might have been changed since the first time it was released. I’m guessing perhaps low-levels obtaining the Arclight Time Trials daily was unintended so they must have fixed it for this time. There might have also been complaints about low-levels not being able to kill the mobs in Scarlet Gorge without sidekicking. The level to obtain the quests will probably be around Level 28-30 because the Scarlet Gorge mobs are around the same level.
